shaklee-protein-collagen-shake-healthy-voyagerRonda Rousey, an American professional wrestler, actress and retired mixed martial artist once rightly asserted that “ being an athlete, you try to get protein.” It is worthy to note that protein powder is not only necessary for athletes, it is good for everyone interested in living a fit and healthy life.

Healthline defines protein powders as powders with concentrated sources of protein from animal or plant foods, such as dairy, eggs, rice or peas. Protein powders help those struggling to meet up with their protein needs with food alone. Some of these people can be ill, old, vegetarians, athletes and weightlifters.

It should be noted that when you take in the right amount of protein, it can boost your immune system, it accounts for a glowing and ageless skin, it makes one’s muscles toned, it assists in weight loss, it aids digestion and it performs other functions too. Are you interested in getting protein powder? You can contact protein powder Ireland for your quality protein powder.

“Protein powders can be a game-changer for meeting daily protein needs, especially when balanced with a nutrient-rich diet. Choosing high-quality powders ensures you reap all the benefits without compromising your health,”” says Jennifer Brennan of Hercules Supplements.

Types of protein powder

  1. Pea protein: it increases fullness. It is good for those on a gluten-free diet.
  2. Brown rice protein: it is important for body composition.
  3. Mixed plant protein: it improves muscle health.
  4. Hemp protein powder: it’s a good source of iron, magnesium and fiber. It’s a good option for those with digestive sensitivities.
  5. Vegan protein powder: it’s a suitable option for those who are lactose intolerant and of course, for vegans.

What should you not mix with protein powder?

  • Artificial sweeteners. Some people are allergic to artificial sweeteners, some of it’s side effects include headache, weight gain, migraine, gastric distress, etc.
  • The addition of real milk powder may lead to bloating, constipation and probably dysentery because of it’s high lactose and sugar level.
  • Don’t add ingredients such as soy protein which contains chemical compounds that can lead to hormonal disturbance in some people.
  •  Avoid mixing vegetable oils that contain trans fats. Trans fats often raise the status of bad cholesterol in the body.
  • Do not mix thickeners and gums that are gotten from soy or corn in protein powder. They can lead to constipation and bloating when taken.
  • Avoid adding fillers such as psyllium, sugar, etc. It delays digestion.
  • Those with a sensitive digestive system should avoid mixing fibres to their protein powder.
  • Avoid mixing your protein powder with gluten. It can trigger inflammation in the guts.
  • The less ingredients your protein powder contains, the better it is for consumption.
  • For the best protein powders, contact protein powder Ireland.

Protein plays a decisive role in the lives of people who are actively involved in sports. It is responsible for the formation of muscle fibers and allows the body to more easily tolerate high physical exertion. And your article is very useful because you need to be able to mix it correctly and understand how to use it. You also need to choose a good product so that it does not harm your health. I can recommend a good protein powder that I have been using for a long time https://www.amazon.in/Prorganiq-Supplement-Creatine-Bodybuilders-Chocolate/dp/B0B1XDQ64D
