Air Fried Ravioli

Vegan Air Fried Ravioli RecipeIn honor of my time in St. Louis I wanted to share a recipe for a popular local dish, fried ravioli! St. Louis has several local delicacies like butter cake, St. Louis Pizza which is cut in squares and boasts its own type of cheese and yes, toasted ravioli. I figured I’d go with the easiest and “healthiest” option to veganize and showcase so enjoy this quick yet tasty recipe for vegan fried ravioli, St. Louis style!

  • 12 Vegan Ravioli of choice, thawed or refrigerated
  • ¾ cup Panko Breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp All-Purpose Flour (gluten free, if desired)
  • 1/2 cup melted vegan butter
  • ¾ tsp Garlic Powder
  • ½ tsp Oregano
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ⅛ tsp Black Pepper
  • Oil sprayer filled with high heat oil

In a microwave-safe dish, combine panko with olive oil. Microwave for 1-2 minutes until golden brown, stirring every 30 seconds. Set aside in a bowl for dredging.

In one bowl, add your melted butter. In another bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Coat each ravioli first by dredging and coating well in melted butter, then dredging and coating with with the flour mixture, dripping off any excess. Then coat with panko breadcrumbs.

Spray air fryer basket with oil and add a single layer of ravioli. Cook at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway. If the ravioli look dry, spray with additional oil.

Serve with marinara sauce or dipping sauce of choice and enjoy hot!
