Are you looking to switch to a plant-based diet but don’t know where to start? 

A meat-eater my entire life and a runner for the last five, I wanted to be like my fellow athletes who looked fresher, seemed more energized, and ran faster. It turns out that a lot of them were vegan, actually, which surprised me. Aren’t they supposed to be eating a ton of protein?

I was curious about trying the plant-based diet, so excitedly and with much enthusiasm, I decided to give it a shot. Determined to undergo a transformation from a party girl in my 20s to health personified in my 30s, I hydrated like crazy.

I understood the importance of essential nutrients, such as protein, carbohydrates, fats, and minerals, namely those nutrients that your body needs to function. I wondered, however, how am I going to get all the essentials in a plant-based diet? How do I ensure that I get enough vitamins and minerals imperative for my good health, working out, looking and feeling good?

I knew I needed supplements, but which ones? Up until recently, I would get my multivitamins from a drug store, never reading the label. I felt like I needed something geared more towards… ME. And that is when I stumbled upon Hippo7. To my astonishment, this brand literally makes vitamins specific for a plant-based diet!

Their Vegan Complete – multivitamin containing seven essential for plant-eaters but typically from plant-based meals was perfect. Search no more!, I told myself. Finally, I was able to explore delicious vegan recipes and dishes, not worrying if I’m getting enough essential nutrients.

Skin Dazzle changed my skin routine game as it makes it so much more radiant from the inside out; Bliss Digest became my digestive health friend (no more bloatedness!). And when I’m stressed (which is not as often anymore, thankfully!) I take Hippo7’s Zen Warrior which includes ashwagandha, an incredible anti-anxiety plant (which helps with sleep, too).

Needless to say, the combination of less partying, hydration, or Hippo7 vitamins, but I am healthier, fitter, and happier all around.
