Can’t Stick to your Fitness Routine? It’s Time to Find out Why

Do you feel as though you are always trying to work out, but you can’t quite seem to stick to a routine? If so then it’s time to make a change.

You Use Exercise as a Form of Punishment

A lot of people use exercise as a way to punish themselves because they have slipped up with their diet, or because they overindulged in a few too many fizzy drinks. If you use working out as a way to punish yourself then this will work against you and it will make it much harder for you to sustain your routine in the future. If you want to do something about this then you have to try and rethink your reasons for working out or exercising. Does it make your daily tasks easier? Do you feel as though you have more energy during the day? Do you feel empowered at the end? Little things like this can help you to stay motivated and it can also help you to stick to your routine for all of the right reasons.

You Think it’s All or Nothing

If you have a week’s worth of different workouts planned, but then you find that work-related stress or family commitments throw you off then you may be tempted to drop everything. This is a major mistake. Working out once, when you planned seven workouts, is still better than not working out at all. Even if you cannot commit to doing your original plan, it’s important that you pivot and that you do your best to try and do some kind of workout. If you do this then you will find it easier to stick to your routine and you won’t be stuck in a cycle of constant guilt and shame. One way for you to make sure that you stick to your workout would be for you to try and focus on simple things, such as walking the dog over going to the gym. If you intend on jogging with your dog, make sure that you are feeding them a high-quality dog food so they have the energy to keep up with you.

Doing too Much, too Soon

Some people think that exercise has to be intense for it to be somewhat effective. This is not the case at all. In fact, if you work out too intensely then this can make it very difficult for you to stick to your routine. If you are just starting out with your fitness journey then your body won’t be that used to working out yet and this could mean that you get sorer, or more fatigued when compared to someone who is experienced with working out. Remember that your body needs a good amount of time to adapt, so don’t push yourself too hard. If you can take it easy and gently adapt what you’re doing now, then this will make it much easier for you to stick to whatever it is you want to try and change.

Often it’s just a bad approach and consequent results that can demotivate you. I have now completely changed my diet, added a lot of sports and even supplements like creatine https://prorganiq.com/products/creatine-monohydrate to get better results during my workout
