CBD OilCBD comes in many different forms. You can get tablets, vape, topicals, CBD oils, tinctures, and even patches. The wide variety has made it possible for people to experiment with more than one and get the best for regular use. It can get confusing when you are trying to narrow down the search for the best CBD product to use. This is why transdermal CBD patches are the most straightforward form to use and have proven effective compared to other products in the market.

Understanding CBD Patches

Transdermal CBD patches are joining the wave and have become popular among CBD users. They might be new, but the technology behind patches has been in existence for some time now. The most common being patches that smokers use when trying to kick the habit. Patches are commonly used as a birth control method or as nicotine replacements.

Transdermal CBD patches contain high doses of cannabidiol in them in the form of molecules. The molecules are infused in a solution that is isolated. The solution used can be in oil or gel form. The patches contain high CBD contents and also have permeation enhancers together with carriers. The skin where the patch is placed usually has no trace of CBD, which makes it easier for the CBD in the patch to be transferred to your skin. After that, it’s absorbed into the bloodstream with ease.

Transdermal CBD patches significantly differ depending on how they are made, and it’s essential to keep this fact in mind. The two main types available in the market are:

Reservoir Patches

Their permeable release membrane characterizes these types of patches. This is their vital element. They are easy to put and peel off your skin. They contain adhesive and back protection. The membrane on them is essential from manufacturers’ can make it easier to deliver the correct CBD dosage to your body. It makes the release of CBD steadier, especially when you need accurate dosages.

Matrix Patches

They come with five different layers that include a protective back layer, an adhesive layer, a separating layer, a matrix layer that contains CBD, and a peel of layer that covers the CBD. The matrix layer is held on the skin by the adhesive layer enabling the transfer of CBD molecules from the patch to your skin them bloodstream. These are better to use when you don’t need controlled CBD releases, unlike the reservoir ones.

Benefits of CBD Patches

Efficient CBD delivery is one of the reasons why patches are regarded as the most effective way to take CBD. With the reservoir patches, you can accurately control the amount of CBD you consume. More than 50% of the CBD in patches gets absorbed by the skin, and the rate is higher with permeation enhancers. Other forms of taking CBD can be limited. Smoking or inhaling has one of the lowest absorption rates of any other CBD product.

With CBD patches, you are guaranteed better absorption of CBD molecules directly into the bloodstream using your skin. Patches are a better way to help your skin as well in case you have a skin condition that CBD can remedy.

Conclusion

CBD patches are the best to use when you need better absorption rates. Opt for the reservoir patches when you want to control the CBD dosage better.
