fitness bootcampIf endurance and strength are things you feel you need, then you may want to consider fitness boot camp. Though the benefits of this group physical exercise can help you conquer your daily routine, this degree of training is not for just anyone. At Gymsight.com you will be able to see which gyms near you offer boot camp classes like 24 Hour Fitness or Life Time Fitness does. Take the time to understand your fitness goals, educate yourself about boot camp before diving into a routine.

Boot camp classes tend to be very militaristic, and this type of discipline offers it appeal. You will need to consider whether or not this style of exercises interests you. Gyms like 24 Hour Fitness and LA Fitness offer a wide variety of these classes at different times of the day. Basic level boot camp classes offers a variety of activities, including aerobic stints and strength training with kettle weights. A wide range of exercises can be accomplished with these types of workouts making classes very different depending on the instructor and the day.

Regardless, there is a fundamental breakdown of body conditioning exercises, like crunches, pushups, aerobic stints and the occasional drill. Interval training is a key theme in any boot camp class. Exercises tend to cycle from a difficult interim to a lighter interlude and back.

You will find that one of the best benefits of boot camp is that it offers a whole body workout with very little equipment. You won’t have to bring much of anything to class if you decide to try it at a gym. If you decide to stay home and use DVDs or even your Wii, you can perform an effective workout in a small space without having to spend money purchasing expensive equipment. The cost efficiency has made boot camp training a particularly popular thing to do at home.

When you decide to participate in your first boot camp class, be prepared. Some people have experienced a bit of culture shock when entering into this realm. There are a few things you can do to prepare yourself to triumphantly complete your first classes and all of the exercises.

  1. First, be sure to drink enough water that day. Always remember to stop taking in fluids, at least, one hour before class starts because it is difficult to be active with too much water in your stomach.
  2. Second, make sure you keep a positive mental attitude. The so-called self-fulfilling prophecy very well is the thought process influencing your success or failure. If you think you can do it, you will. If you think you can’t, you won’t. Simple as that.
  3. Next, keep your focus on the instructor and make sure to mimic the exercises perfectly. Doing exercises correctly and paying close attention will help keep you from getting injured and also give you the maximum benefits of each exercise.
  4. Fourth, do not forget to breathe, and do not stop moving. Moving around keeps the heart rate going, drawing oxygen into the muscles, keeping them from getting sore.
  5. Fifth, don’t be shy! Try to get a spot in the front of the class to increase your visibility of the instructor and level of participation.
  6. Lastly, once you have completed your first round, celebrate with some electrolytes. Gatorade, Smart Water or a shot of wheatgrass can do the trick!

Remember; go to gymsight.com to determine which boot camp class is best for you. it will always get easier, when you find a boot camp class that is right for you the results are incredible.
