Cut Out The Bad Habits
Bad habits are one of the main reasons why our bodies feel so much older than they are. Bad habits can range anything from not drinking enough water in a day, to something that’s perhaps talked about a little bit more, such as smoking. Smoking is definitely one of those habits that you should think about giving up pretty quickly, if you haven’t already. There are now so many options for you that will allow you to quit smoking, if you do regularly, and everyone is different in terms of the preference that they have. So, some of you might do a little bit better using the nicotine patches, or trying the nicotine gum. The patches can be a little bit too intense for some, and the gum can have a little bit of a harsh taste, depending on which one you get. So, you might want to start thinking about vaping, because it’s the new best thing that everyone is talking about, and rightly so. Vape kits are now so easy to come by, and will usually contain the vape itself, some batteries, and a charger so that you can keep it on the go, all of the time. A lot of people prefer vaping because of how realistic it is to really smoking. The action of smoking the vape, and then breathing out the vapor, is enough to curb the cravings of long term smokers. This is just one bad habit you need to kick to the curb if you have it, but you also need to think about anything else that might be considered a bad habit, that you should be getting rid of!
Start Every Day Right
There is definitely a right and a wrong way to start your day, and everyone has a different version of what a good morning means to them. To us, starting the morning right, and doing something that’s going to benefit your body, has to be done by using techniques such as yoga. There is pretty much nothing better that’s going to start your day right, than jumping out of bed and doing some relaxing yoga. Not only is it going to stretch and strengthen all of those important muscles in your body, it’s going to allow your mind and body to start the day. It’s one of the more gentle wakeup options you can choose from, compared to perhaps snoozing your alarm up until a few minutes before you need to leave your home! Then, you need to make sure that you’re hitting the most important meal of the day, and to us that is breakfast. Breakfast kick starts your metabolism, helps to fuel your body for the morning rush, and awakens the mind. Focus on breakfasts such as poached eggs on toast, or porridge. The better the calories are, the better your day is going to be. There’s nothing wrong with washing it down with a coffee to really get yourself awake, but make sure that you’re also drinking two glasses of water before you leave for work!
Energising Lifestyle Changes
Sometimes a lifestyle change is in order, and if the last thing on earth that you feel like you have is energy, then you need to think about how you can bring more of it into your life. Considering we’re talking about lifestyle changes, the best way to give yourself energy, is to stop being such a couch potato, and get up and do a bit of fitness. This fitness could be a walk to work rather than a drive, or training session in the gym. Weight training for both males and females is becoming ever more popular at the minute, and the benefits it has in terms of reducing how old your body feels is huge. Although if you are trying weight training you might suffer with some aches, those aches are a sign of improvement. There are so many specific weight training guides on the internet for you to follow, all of which depend on your goal, but we’d definitely recommend that you check them out!
Reducing Your BMI
If there’s one surefire way to reduce the age that your body feels, it’s to reduce your BMI. Your BMI is going to fluctuate throughout the year, but the higher your BMI, the older your predicted age is going to be. If you follow the techniques that we’ve spoken about above, there’s no reason why your BMI would not drop and drop as the months go on!
