The Day-to-Day Ways to Stay Healthy

daily health tipsGetting healthy can turn into an overwhelming affair if you let it, filled to the brim with intricate

exercise regimes, protein shakes, diets more complex than the theory of relativity, and motivational

exercises that make positivity a stressful full time occupation.

Chuck it. Chuck it all – your intricate plans and grand diets should be streamlined. Instead, turn

your attentions to the little things you need to remain in peak physical condition. After all, the small

factors can be the linchpin for your entire good health.

So, what should you focus on?

Don’t be washed up – wash up

If you’ve ever been in a standard public washroom, you’ll know how utterly disgusting they can

be, like stepping into a cowshed paired with a broken cistern. Large sums of them are the hygiene

equivalent of a rat infestation.

But public toilets don’t have to be so rancid. Try to use washrooms with adequate hand dryers,

regular cleaning schedules, hand wash and a regular stock of cleaning products, and try to pressure

your workplace to invest in a good washroom from a top-notch supplier.

Get checked

Going to the doctors must be one of the more stressful parts of a day. There’s the illness hub of the

waiting room, the worried discussions with your doctor, the check-ups you’d rather not have and,

most tensely, the possibility that your GP doesn’t actually know what’s wrong with you.

However, that doesn’t make a visit to your local practitioner something to avoid. In many cases, the

only way you’ll know there’s nothing wrong with you is to get checked up.

This seems to be an issue affecting men more than women – more than 40 per cent of men die of

preventable cancers due to fear of doctors. So, hit your doctors regularly and you’ll stay fighting fit

for longer.

It only takes 15 minutes

A lot of us are a bit too busy to get ripped at the gym for the majority of our day. But here’s some

good news – with just 15 minutes of exercise a day, you’ll be healthier and will see an improvement

in your breathing patterns, skin condition and overall health.

But if you feel like you still need more exercise, pick one evening to dedicate to the gym and work

the quadrants you want to look ripped.

Your seven-a-day

You can have your pan-continental-tofu-basted-organic-wrap (whatever that is), but really the fancy

stuff is just gilding the lily – no matter how rubbish your cooking is, sticking to the core rule of seven

portions of fruit and veg a day will always have you covered.

So, whether you’re a Gordon Ramsay or can barely turn on your oven, stick to health foods and you

won’t go wrong.
