stress-1.jpegFor many, stress plays a big part in everyday life. Jobs are becoming more demanding, and the sheer amount of things we need to get done never seems to end. And when this happens, it’s easy to quickly burn out. So, let’s take a look at some of the tell-tale signs that you might be experiencing too much stress in your life so that you can take action.

You notice physical changes

It’s easy to think that stress is just a mental problem, but there are actually many physical signs of stress. Stress can manifest itself in lots of different forms. You might notice that your hair is thinner than usual, or that you’ve put on some weight due to stress eating. You might even be more bloated than normal.

And, when you notice these physical changes, it only adds to the stress too. On the other hand, other physical things unrelated to stress like hearing loss could also be contributing to your stress. You’re not old enough, right? The truth is, anyone of any age can lose their hearing, but it’s a good idea to check out some age-related hearing loss insights so that you can tell the difference and also relieve some of those stresses.

You’re always tired

Feeling tired is something that everyone experiences at some point or another. But, when stress is mixed in with it, you’ll find yourself waking up feeling more tired and completely overwhelmed by what you need to achieve that day. It’s important to make sure that you’re sticking to a healthy sleep routine and that you’re taking proactive steps to reduce your overall stress levels.

And, yep you’ve guessed it, getting enough sleep is so important when it comes to managing your mental health. Speak to your Doctor about your sleeping patterns to see if there’s anything underlying that might be causing the lack of sleep you’re experiencing.

You’re experiencing physical pain

Sometimes stress shows itself in other ways too. The problem with stress is that sometimes the body doesn’t know how to deal with it, and it manifests in other areas in your body. So, if you’re experiencing chronic pain without having recently been injured, then consider that it could be stress causing this pain instead.

Of course, we recommend seeing a Doctor about this too in case it’s something else, but you might find that by taking action in reducing your stress levels could take away that chronic pain too! Definitely worth trying!

You’ve got a shorter temper

Finally, stress can do many things to your body, and having a shorter fuse than normal is one of the first signs to show itself. There’s a good chance that people in your life have noticed a change in your temperament and if they have, then there’s a good chance you’re experiencing high levels of stress.

So take the time for yourself, and work on reducing your stress levels in a way that works for you; whether it’s a long hot bath every now and then or a rage room is completely up to you!
