5 Vitamins That Can Boost Your Metabolism

Supplements for Vegan DietsMetabolism explains how the body breaks down nutrients from food to convert them into vital energy. So, metabolism is at the core of everything, from breathing to burning calories and everything in between.

With that said, because boosting your metabolism means obtaining a healthy body weight, whether that means shedding a few kilos or adding some, we’ve listed five vitamins that can boost your metabolism effectively.

Calcium

While we all know calcium is vital for healthy bones, new research shows that calcium is likely essential to blood sugar control and a healthy metabolism. Furthermore, additional research shows that calcium combined with vitamin D supports weight loss and that calcium can boost weight loss for individuals with type 2 diabetes.

Bariatric fusion calcium chews are an excellent choice to boost your metabolism with supplements. These chews contain a suitable calcium content to support a healthy metabolic rate while supporting bone health and much more.

Beyond supplements, calcium is found in almonds, seeds, and dark green leafy veggies as they contain a rich source of calcium.

Vitamin D

As mentioned above, evidence shows vitamin D can assist with diet-related weight loss. Vitamin D’s connection to metabolic health stems from findings that show older women and children with lower vitamin D levels tend to be overweight. However, researchers are not yet entirely sure where the link between the vitamin and weight actually lies.

Regardless, vitamin D supplements can effectively enhance metabolic health. Moreover, combining vitamin D with calcium supplements is also wise.

Furthermore, vitamin D is also present in foods like fortified cereals.

B Vitamins

B vitamins are also an excellent choice for metabolic health. This vitamin group is mainly responsible for energy metabolism. The B vitamin group includes B-12, folate, biotin, B-6, pantothenic acid, niacin, riboflavin, and thiamine.

Opting for supplements that contain these vitamins is an excellent choice. And when looking at natural sources, foods that contain B vitamins include whole grains, nuts, and seeds.

Iron

We need iron for growth and metabolism. Furthermore, it’s also critical for the production of some hormones and correct cell functions. Because iron carries oxygen in red blood cells, low iron levels lead to a lack of circulation, lethargy, and poor metabolic processes.

You can get your daily iron dietary requirements from foods such as beans, nuts, soybeans, and fortified cereals. On the other hand, supplements are a good choice, especially for instances where an iron deficiency is a concern.

Magnesium

Magnesium is also essential for metabolism and the production of energy. You can find magnesium in legumes, spinach, bananas, potatoes, and whole grains. Magnesium supplements are also beneficial for boosting metabolic health.

Supplements are an excellent choice for health. However, even with supplements, it’s still wise to follow a healthy balanced diet, devote time towards exercise, and get enough quality sleep; these are all crucial elements in a healthy lifestyle.

Great list, thank you! In fact, I found all these supplements on one site – Therastore, where I constantly shop. The most important thing is to take tests to understand what your body lacks.
