4 Tips to Get Your Beach Body Ready in Time for Summer

fitness wearWith less than two months left until summer gets here, it’s time to start getting your body ready to rock those short skirts, flowy dresses and, of course, bathing suits. Many people decide to start working on their body once summer is already here, but why not do it well in advance, so that warm weather catches you ready to show those toned legs.

You don’t need to turn your life around to achieve that summer body you’ve been dreaming of, but you do need to be ready to make some changes in both your diet and lifestyle. But if you take it one step at a time, two months are enough to start seeing the results you’ve been waiting for.

So, without further ado, here’s what you need to do to get your beach body ready in time for summer.

Start eating more veggies and fruits

During winter, we tend to eat more unhealthy foods and because the weather keeps you inside the house most of the time, you can’t exactly burn those calories as fast as you would during the summer. Now is the perfect time to start making some changes in your diet and eat more balanced meals.

Most of the time, we start gaining extra weight because we have chaotic eating habits. This results in snacking all the time because you never reach satiety. Natural supplements such as leptitox, paired with a healthy diet, can help diminish hunger by boosting your metabolic process.

Start by incorporating more fruits and vegetables in your diet to better keep your body weight under control. You can prepare your own meals and juices by using fresh vegetables and fruits and keep them in the fridge to consume every day.

Leafy greens such as spinach and kale are low in calories and loaded with fibers, allowing you to increase the volume of your meal without actually increasing the calories intake. Broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage contain protein and fibers which makes the perfect for any weight-loss diet.

Fruits such as grapefruit, apples, kiwis and berries are easy to incorporate into smoothies or fruit juices that you can drink during breakfast, to start your day energized.

Develop a workout routine

Whether you prefer to go to the gym, jog in the park or exercise at home, you need to start developing a strong workout routine. There is no better and faster way to lose those few extra inches than doing at least 60 minutes of exercise a day. You can either do a full hour of exercise in the morning, or split your routine and do half in the morning and half in the evening.

If you like going to the gym, then consider getting a personal trainer to help you achieve those summer body goals faster. They know exactly what type of workout routine you should start getting into, in order to look toned and healthy in just a few months.

For those of you who like exercising outside, consider waking up 30 minutes earlier and go for a jog every morning. It may seem hard at first, but after a few weeks it will start to become a routine and you will feel more energized throughout the entire day.

If you like working out at home, there are plenty of apps and YouTube channels full of workout routines on all difficulty levels. And because they are designed to be done at home, you don’t need that much of an equipment. A wall, a chair and some water bottles to act as wights should be more than enough.

Take care of your skin

If you want to make sure your body looks perfect for the summer, you need to improve your skincare routine. It’s not enough to just eat well and exercise, you need to ensure your skin is glowing and firm, and for that you need to exfoliate, moisturize and protect it as often as possible.

To remove dead cells and allow your skin to glow, you need to exfoliate twice a week, you can use a store-bought scrub, or make one at home. A simple home-made scrub includes coconut or olive oil, as well as any granulated ingredient to act as an exfoliator such as coffee, sugar, sea salt, strawberry seeds or oat.

After exfoliating, makes sure to moisturize your skin, as it can get pretty dry and sensitive from the process. Invest in a moisturizer with at least SPF 30, to help protect your skin from the sun as well. Do some research and find a moisturizer that works for our skin type, even if this means getting a couple more bucks out of your pocket. Your skin deserves it!

Don’t forget to moisturize from the inside as well, by drinking enough water. I can not stress enough how important it is to drink at least 6 glasses of water a day. This helps keep your skin healthy, fills you so you don’t eat excessively and prevents acne. Drink one glass of water before every meal and take a few sips every hour as well, and you will start seeing results in just a few weeks.

Find your perfect hair removal method

Unfortunately, summer also means not being able to hide those unwanted hairs under long sleeves and jeans, which means you need to find a good hair removal method. Now, there are plenty of ways to remove unwanted hairs, each with its own pros and cons, including shaving, waxing, sugaring or laser hair removal in Cutera. If you are not pleased with the method you are currently using and want to start experimenting, now is the perfect time to do so, as you still have some time left until summer.

Laser hair removal, for example, needs a few sessions to start showing the desired results. If you want to switch from shaving to waxing, you also need a few weeks to allow the hairs to grow at the desired length for waxing, and it can get pretty uncomfortable to start doing so during the summer.
