- Vegan cookbooks hit an all time high in sales (i.e. The Conscious Cook) Even Good Housekeeping Magazine is putting out a vegan cookbook next year.
- More vegan and vegetarian restaurants pop up while national restaurant chains incorporate more special diet friendly meals and alternatives (i.e. The Yard House)
- Vegan fashion is hippie dippy no more! (i.e. Cri De Coeur & Neuara shoes)
- The Gulf oil spill causes folks to really take a look at alternative fuel choices and the health of our planet
- Sun Chips unveils their biodegradable bags and Coca-Cola launches their partly plant based bottles
- Many unlikely celebs announce their switch to veggies (i.e. Mike Tyson & Ozzie Osbourne)
- Both Biggest Loser trainers go Veg
- And The Healthy Voyager secures a book (and possible TV shows) for 2011!
2010 was a great year for the green as well as the plant based and special diet groups. We can only go up from here! 3 cheers for the new year, 2011!!
