Ways to Quickly Treat Shaving Cuts

treat shaving cutIt is painful to suffer from shaving cuts. Even if you are careful in doing it, you could still end up with wounds. You are using a sharp object to remove body hair. You are not even removing it from the roots. You are only cutting a portion of the exposed hair. As such, you can expect painful cuts. Avoid the painful and time-consuming techniques by opting for Yag Laser in Toronto. It’s huge advantage is that it works on all skin types. This is something other hair removal treatment cannot do.

Some people prefer using shaving cream to soften the hairs and make them easy to remove using a razor blade. Despite that, you might still end up with wounds. If it happens, these are some useful tips for treatment.

Use eye drops

If you have eye drops at home, they are useful in dealing with the cuts. They help in constricting the blood vessels to prevent further bleeding. You only need a few drops. Consider the size of the cuts before using the eye drops.

Use witch hazel

Witch hazel is an astringent that could slow down the bleeding. Get a cotton ball and place a small amount of witch hazel on it. Dab the cotton ball on the affected area. It might be painful, so you need to do it slowly until you have covered the entire area.

Use Chapstick

No, it is not the one used for eating. You usually use a Chapstick for dry lips. It helps keep your lips moist. When you have one in your bag, you can also use it to treat the cut and prevent further bleeding. It serves as a temporary sealant.

Use a tea bag

Look for a cooled tea bag and use it directly on the cut. The tea contains tannic acid, which could stop bleeding. Keep checking if the bleeding continues. If not, you can stop using the tea bag.

Get an ice cube

If none of the mentioned techniques works, you can grab an ice cube from the fridge and place one directly on the affected area. It also helps in constricting blood vessels in order to prevent bleeding. It also somehow numbs the skin so that you will not feel the pain. Even when you did not suffer from cuts after shaving, it helps to apply the ice directly on the skin to ensure smoother and less irritated skin.

Use cayenne pepper

It sounds weird to use seasoning for treating wounds. It also seems tough on the skin, considering how hot it is. It could work though if you sprinkle it on the affected area.

Avoid shaving

Although these tips will help you deal with the cuts once you suffer from them, you will not want to experience it all the time. Since you want to get rid of the body hairs, the best alternative is laser hair removal. Yes, it is expensive, but you will only pay once. You also do not need to think about cuts and scars after the procedure. It is relatively safe and pain-free. You can check out laser hair removal Edmonton offers if you want to book an appointment now. With highly qualified staff and state-of-the-art laser technology used, you can say goodbye to unwanted hair quickly.
