Last time, I chatted about some yummy eateries in Toronto. And while there is no shortage of delicious food, I wanted to showcase some of the fun activities that Toronto has for the adventurous traveler!
First and foremost, one of the craziest things you can do in Toronto is the CN Tower Edgewalk. In the heart of downtown, the fearless can go to the tip top of the city’s most iconic building and go for a freaky walk! Harnessed in and very safe, folks take a walk around the top of the tower on a railless catwalk. And about 5-6 times during the walk, you get the chance to dangle face forward as well as backward over the edge, yikes! Yes, I did it and it was awesome! They offer walks every day, even in the cold winters and the view is stunning. On a clear day, you can see the spray from Niagara Falls!

For land lovers who would prefer to get to know the city on terra firma, Toronto Bicycle Tours is for you! A really fun way to see the city, the bike tours start from a couple hour city highlight tour to full day into night tours that give you a wonderful overview of the city and its rich history. The guides are fun, informative and there is plenty of time for a local snack, questions and getting to know your fellow tour goers. The tour is extremely safe for all ages and a very active way to explore Toronto, no matter your fitness level.
While all of these activities run most of the year, one of the most beautiful times of year to visit Toronto is over the holidays. Visit the Toronto Christmas Market at the Distillery, the Christmas Festival in Dundas Square or just take in all the magical lights and shows all over the city.
I’ll be back soon with unique sites and dining experiences when I return with more Toronto!
