One of my favorite vegan restaurants in the world is Horizons. Located in
a hipster, super cool location in Philadelphia, it’s a must for veggies and non-veggies alike.
The first time I dined there, I wanted to eat everything on the menu but just didn’t
have the space in my stomach ; ) So I was delighted
when I happened upon the
Horizons: New Vegan Cuisine Cookbook!
While it may not be fancy schmancy and have all the
flair of a big publisher kind of book,
the recipes are excellent. If you can’t make it to Philly,
then this cookbook brings you one step closer to their fabulous food.
So fresh and full of unique flavors, every recipe will
make you want to catch the first flight to Philly!
But in the mean time, cooking up the ecelctic creations from their cookbook
is enjoyable, simple and rewarding
both in the cooking as well as devouring!
Some of my favorites include:
- Key West Conch Chowder
- Mexican Baba Ganoush
- Vietnamese Bruschetta
- Tofu Benedict with Bearnaise
- Shredded Seitan Burrito with Chipotle Sauce
- Edamame Mashed Potatoes
- Chocolate Peanu Butter Bombs
- Espresso Brownies
- And more!
So yeah, while nothing compares to a candlelit dinner at Horizons,
you can bring Horizons home with you
with the help of their new vegan cuisine cookbook!
