Summer is here and you want to look and feel your best, but if you have oily pores or dry skin, achieving a beautiful, healthy glow can often feel impossible. Thankfully, it doesn’t have to be this way. No matter your skin type, sticking to a regular skincare routine that’s right for you and includes the right products will help. And, there are other changes that you can make to your lifestyle and habits to keep your skin looking and feeling its best.
Stay Hydrated
Keeping yourself hydrated from the inside out is the best way to keep your skin in a healthy condition. No matter how many products you use on your skin or how often, you simply can’t achieve that healthy glow you want if you are dehydrated. Drinking plenty of water will improve the overall health of your body and does great things for your skin.
Understand Your Skin
In order to give your skin what it needs to glow, you need to really get to know it. Figure out your skin type by looking at the size of your pores and where you typically experience oiliness or dryness. Larger pores tend to be a sign of oily skin; you will benefit from using products containing retinol to balance oil production. On the other hand, if your skin gets dry, cracks or peels during the summer you might want to give it more moisture.
Cleanse Daily
Splashing some water on your face in the shower is not enough; for healthy and glowing skin, you need to make cleansing a key part of your daily routine. Over at skinapeel.com they recommend regular visits to a trained professional to make the most out of your skincare routines such as facials. If you wear makeup, you should cleanse your face with a gentle cleansing product twice per day; once in the morning and once before you go to bed. If you don’t wear makeup, cleansing once a day is fine. Follow up with a facial rose water toner to restore the skin’s pH balance, hydrate the skin, and keep out impurities.
Wear Sunscreen
With warm weather on the horizon, you’ve probably started thinking about getting the sunscreen out. But when it comes to the sensitive skin on your face, sunscreen should be something that you wear all year round. Even when the sun isn’t blazing outside, the sun’s UV rays can still do some damage. The best way to achieve skin protection year-round is to use a good day cream with an SPF of at least thirty to moisturize and protect your skin at the same time.
Get Enough Sleep
Just like drinking water, no amount of products is going to fix your skin if you are sleep deprived. Getting between 7-9 hours of sleep every night is crucial for your health and has a wide range of benefits for your body and mind. Not only will it give your skin ample time to recover and rejuvenate throughout the night, but you’ll also be more alert, have more energy, be at a lower risk of weight gain, and much more.
Go Makeup-Free
Makeup can be a great way to enhance your natural glow and cover up any blemishes on your skin, but if you wear it all the time, it could be the reason why you’re not glowing just as much naturally. While taking a break from makeup doesn’t mean you should throw all your products away and never wear it again, it can do your skin a world of good to take a couple of days to breathe. If you really don’t like going out without makeup, a tinted moisturizer and a swipe of mascara can give you a little confidence boost without burying your skin under tons of products.
With some simple steps and changes to your skincare routine, it’s easier than you think to achieve that coveted healthy glow.

Very Informative.
Natural Ways to Get Glowing Skin:
Soak equal amounts of rice and sesame seeds overnight.
Grind to a fine scrub consistency in the morning.
Apply over your body and face and leave it on for a minute or two.
Wash off with cool water.
The easiest things we can do for our skin are to sleep at least 6 hours and drink enough water. This is really basic and does not require much effort.
Thank you! My skin is not perfect but I try very hard to take care of its condition.
