eye examIf you are experiencing eye problems or impaired vision, then you are not alone. The World Health Organization estimates that over 1 billion people globally have some issues with their vision. Among this startling statistic, cataracts and refractive errors are the most common problems that people face. If you are finding your eyesight not as clear as it once was, then you need to act. Simply ignoring it will only make it worse as it degenerates further over time.

Of course, the first step is to get an eye examination from a qualified optician. This will help to assess the state of your eyes and what the condition is that is causing the problem. Once you have done this though, you have to think about which method to use to help restore your vision.

Long-term solutions are key for clear eyesight

Whether you have a problem with being long-sighted, short-sighted or another more serious condition such as glaucoma, you will need to find a long-term solution to your issue. This will help you to live the rest of your life in a normal way and also enjoy it to the full. Here are some of the best longer-term solutions to consider:

  • Laser eye surgery – this type of surgery has been around for over 25 years now and has been used by millions of satisfied people. For correcting problems with corneal refraction, LASIK surgery is the most popular. This sees a high-powered laser beam used in the procedure to reshape the cornea. After this treatment, the effects are permanent, which is what makes it such a great long-term solution. Most people experience much clearer vision afterwards and it is a viable way to deal with eye problems for the rest of your life. After the surgery is complete, you will not have the hassle or expense of using external aids to see properly. You will simply have great eyesight naturally!
  • Glasses – if you are looking for a non-surgical way to correct eye problems in the longer term, then glasses are a perennial favorite. Not only are they easy to use and carry around, but they also come in a wide range of styles now. This means that you can easily find frames in which you look and feel good. They work by the lenses in the glasses themselves adjusting how the light enters the eye to make everything look clearer. People can and do go their whole lives wearing glasses to correct their eye problem.
  • Contact lenses – while glasses are great, some people prefer the added advantages that contacts offer. These lenses actually sit on top of your eye and then adjust how the light is processed to enable clear vision. A wide selection of contact lenses can be found at Pure Optical. As with glasses, there is a wide choice of styles and colors, so you can get a unique look if desired. Contacts are also great for playing sports in compared to glasses. Although you do have to be careful with guarding against eyes drying out and infection, many people use contact lenses as a long-term method for helping them to see better.
  • Visual therapy – if you want to deal with eye problems in a more organic way, then visual therapy may be for you. This involves no surgery but also no external vision aids either. Instead, you perform a series of eye exercises and visualization techniques that are designed to make the eye naturally stronger. The end goal is to restore your vision through these exercises and techniques going into the future.
  • Changes to lifestyle – you may not realize, but your lifestyle could actually be the cause of your eye problems. It can therefore be a great long-term fix to alter how you are living to correct them. If you smoke, then it is advisable to give up as smoking is known to lead to eye issues. On top of this, review your diet to make sure that you are getting plenty of vitamins and minerals to help keep your eyes in good shape for the long term. Our working lives can also cause problems now – if you work on a computer screen regularly, then remember to take regular breaks to avoid straining the eyes.

Take action to deal with eye problems

If you are experiencing problems with your eyes, then it is vital to visit Mao Eye Care and take action to protect your health.  The problems will not go away by themselves, and leaving them untreated could lead to more serious issues down the road. Of course, it is best to look for a treatment that will do this in the long term. This will help to keep on top of any issues for the rest of your life while enabling you to enjoy it to the full.

Thanks for your advice and post! If the body is deficient in vitamins A, C or E, then this can lead to retinal diseases, reduced visual acuity and deterioration of twilight vision. Just drink eyes vitamin and you can get back to normal
