Carolyn Scott-Hamilton, The healthy voyager, and her mom circa 1982For all the mom’s out there, Happy Mother’s Day! And…give yourselves a pat on the back, you’re doing an incredible job!

With so much on their plate from juggling career, home life, kids schedules and trying to find some “me time”, motherhood can be overwhelming. So much so that many mother’s feel that they are always behind the eight ball, never quite feeling like they are doing their best. However, they are…YOU are!healthy voyager mom clara wedding

In our ever changing, super speedy world, it’s hard for anyone to feel like they aren’t doing the best job they can, like there is always something left to do. That’s why it’s so important for all of us, to acknowledge all the hard work our mom’s do, day in and day out. No one is perfect, but mom’s around the world are always finding ways to get as close to perfect as possible, making sure we’re all ok ; )

So this Mother’s Day, tell me about someone you know who is doing a better job as a parent than she might think. Post a comment/short story for a chance to win a Minute Maid prize pack, including a $50 Visa gift card to continue “Doin’ Good” with your kids (or give it to someone you think could use it to keep Doin’ Good with her/his family).

A mother’s job is hard, but love, support and knowing that their kids, spouses and friends think that they are Doin’ Good, is all they need to keep up the good work! My mom has been doin’ good for 38 years and counting and I hope she knows how much I appreciate her every day ; )

Check out this new video from my friends at Minute Maid. Share it with the friends and family in your life who could use a reminder that they, too, are doing a great job as a parent.

So be sure to thank your parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and other parents in your life for all they do for you and those around you!healthy voyager mom

My sister is doing so much better as a great Mom to her daughter and son. She is going through a heartbreaking ordeal with my nephew who is only 2 has a brain tumor. He is getting chemo, and I am amazed at all her patience and love for him, and how she manages to keep up with her daughter and her schooling during this difficult time. She is an inspiration to me!

My best friend is an amazing mother to two kids. She works full time during the week and on the weekends she is always taking them to their activities, going to birthday parties and just making sure they are happy. I don’t think she gives herself enough credit.

My Sister is doing better then what she thinks as a mom. She is great at juggling so much at once and being good at it all. She has two kids and always finds the will power to give 100% during her busy schedule. She thinks sometimes she doesn’t offer the best of her, which involves time, since she works outside the home, goes to school, is a personal trainer, and volunteers at her kids school and local church. But I know she is the best mom she can be cause I personally never leave her presence without a huge smile on my face & in my heart, as I see In her kids as well. She lives her life to pour positive energy into others. She’s doing more then great!

My mom is doing great as a mom because she remarried and is doing a great job at being the mom of 2 step kids and her 2 real kids. She also raised 2 kids as a single parent on a teacher’s salary.

My sister. She almost died giving birth to my nephew. But she is the greatest mom ever. She purees all his food with organic vegetables. She teaches early childhood development so she is really, really good with kids. And she isn’t letting the medical scare get in her way – she is now training to do a half marathon. She is a superhero!

My mom. She’s a survivor, role model, and someone that will always have my back.
