Can Telehealth Services Help You Quit Smoking?

How to Quit Smoking Healthy VoyagerSmoking remains a serious problem in the United States, even though the prevalence of tobacco use has dropped in recent decades. Every year, around a half million Americans die from either smoking or secondhand smoke. Another 16 million people continue to suffer from tobacco-related health problems, such as emphysema and heart disease. Fortunately, the majority of people that intend to quit smoking are able to do so. If you are a smoker, then you should take these statistics to heart.

You should consider all possible smoking cessation programs that might be helpful. More people are using telehealth services to help them quit smoking. When used in conjunction with CBD products or tobacco alternatives, they can be very helpful.

Do These Telehealth Smoking Cessation Programs Really Work?

Internet and telephone-based smoking cessation programs have been around for years. QuitNet was a popular service that was started around the turn of the century that had 335,000 registered users in 2004. Despite the popularity of online smoking cessation programs, many people prefer telephone-based programs instead. These are known as telehealth services. A number of telehealth services have been launched off the years to help people quit smoking.

Despite the popularity of these services, skeptics have wondered how effective they really are. Recent research has suggested they can be at least as effective as traditional smoking cessation programs run from in-person clinics.

The Journal of Medical Internet Research assessed the efficacy of telehealth services that specialize in helping people quit smoking. The study showed that the continuous abstinence rate for participants using telemedicine was around 81.0%, while the efficacy rate for control groups using face-to-face clinical visits was 78.9%.

Although the data shows telehealth smoking cessation programs are slightly more effective, these results are within a slim margin of error. Smokers should be cautious about interpreting this data to conclude that telehealth services are clearly more effective.

However, the data does conclusively show that telehealth services can be highly effective for helping smokers kick their habit. These findings could be very encouraging for smokers that don’t want to participate in traditional smoking cessation programs coordinated through local clinics.

Patients with limited transportation options, individuals that have limited time, and people with social anxieties about leaving their homes could all use telehealth services for their smoking addiction. This research should also be encouraging for people that are trying to quit smoking during the COVID-19 crisis, since social distancing measures discourage people from traveling to in-person treatment groups.

How Can You Make The Most Of A Telehealth Smoking Cessation Program?

Telehealth services can be very effective in helping people quit smoking. However, you need to use them effectively. Here are some tips that can help.

Vet The Program Carefully Before Participating

You need to do your due diligence before signing up for any counseling program. Smoking cessation programs are no exception. Some of them have better track records than others, so you need to do your research first.

Don’t Be Afraid To Use Tobacco Alternatives

Many people insist on quitting cold turkey. This can be a viable option for some people, but others need a little more help. You shouldn’t be ashamed to use tobacco patches, nicotine lozenges, or smokeless tobacco products from a company like Black Buffalo.

Listen Intently To Motivating Stories From Other Participants

You are going to get out what you put into any smoking cessation program. You need to actively listen and participate in group discussions. The biggest benefit is listening to the stories and feedback from other members. You might find something that works very well that you hadn’t considered before.

Have A Strong Support Group Outside Smoking Cessation Program

Smoking cessation programs can offer you a wonderful support network. However, the group should not be a substitute for the rest of your support network. You should turn to friends and family for help to get through your addiction.

Telehealth Smoking Cessation Programs Can Work Great

There are a number of options for people that want to quit smoking. Traditional smoking cessation programs have a good track record. Telehealth services can be at least as effective. However, it is important to do your due diligence before choosing a program and put in the effort. You shouldn’t be disappointed by the results.

It is difficult to quit smoking if you really have a strong addiction. For a start, you can switch to lighter and healthier alternatives, vaping gives a much milder effect. You can find out more about these devices here https://www.ciliconplus.com/product/solo-2/

To understand the main mechanism of quitting smoking with this drug, you don’t need reviews. The main thing is to buy tabex and follow the manufacturer’s recommendations. Despite the fact that the drug is sold without a prescription, you should consult your doctor.

I can confirm that with the help of telemedicine, you can quit smoking, but you need to have the desire to do it, if you do not have a real desire to quit smoking, you will not be able to help anything. The CareClix Telemedicine Center helped me cope with the problem of smoking, their set of revolutionary technologies and methods will be useful to anyone who wants to cope with this bad habit.
