Skin care tipsEczema can be irritating to the point that it incapacitates a person. Sometimes the skin gets so itchy that distracting yourself is no longer an option, and while mild cases of eczema show up as red, it can also turn severe with your skin becoming blistered and oozing. In addition to being physically taxing, a person takes a real blow to their self-esteem especially if eczema shows up on a visible part of the body like the arms or face.

This small guide will educate you on what causes eczema and provide some tips to help alleviate your discomfort. Eczema itself is not an illness, but rather a collection of symptoms and can be caused by a number of factors. These factors include genetics, stress, lifestyle, allergies to food and other chemicals, and other environmental factors.

So without further ado, let’s go!

STRESS

Everybody reacts to stress differently, but eczema has been shown to have a correlation with stress. An independent study carried out in 2017 showed a worsening of the condition in those who were prone to eczema breakouts. When the same people were put in more comfortable conditions, the breakouts were not as severe. If stress is causing your eczema, then you need to visit your doctor for an in-depth treatment plan both for the stress and eczema.

ALLERGIES

Similar to stress, eczema has been exhibited as an allergic reaction to different foods and chemicals. The first thing for you to do in such circumstances is to have an allergy panel test carried out. This will let you know the different chemicals and compounds you are allergic to and in addition to helping you with your eczema, it might also help you improve your overall quality of life. You can cut out all these chemicals and compounds from your life, which will significantly reduce your eczema breakouts and even your body’s tendency to eczema breakouts could be reduced. It will also be wise to use specialized products such as soaps and creams that will eliminate breakouts and help with maintaining skin’s natural barrier. A great solution can be goat soap for eczema as it is unscented and free from chemicals. Besides, it cleanses your skin without leaving it dry and irritated.

DIET AND DIGESTION

Your diet also plays a big impact on your skin’s health. It’s best if you cut out food that is potentially filled with toxins, such as fast food or sugary drinks, as they not only destroy the lining of cells in the stomach that act as the barrier against bacteria, they also cause toxins to enter into other parts of the body, which sometimes exhibits in the form of skin issues. You’ll notice that people who are vegetarian or vegan tend to have fewer skin issues. This is, in part, because of the almost non-existent toxins in their diet.

SKINCARE

You may want to revise your skincare routine if you’re having trouble with eczema. Try using organic skincare products, which do not contain any harsh chemicals and are filled with ingredients that will have an effect on the skin without compromising it in the first place. If you’re looking for some great organic products, you should check out Sond Skin. They have amazing products that are cruelty-free and do not contain any GMOs. Sond isn’t just another beauty and fashion company but rather offers products that truly make a difference when it comes to skincare.
