A 5 Step Guide To Being Your Most Confident Self

Most Confident SelfWe’re living in a pretty incredible age. There’s the internet, which allows us to speak to people on the other side of the globe; there are planes, which allow us to go anywhere and everywhere; and it seems like every day there’s a new invention that keeps life exciting. Still, it’s not all a bed of roses. Confidence and happiness levels are not what they should be, for instance. If you’re not quite as confident as you’d like to be, then take some of our useful tips below.

Put On Those Running Shoes

It’s easy to see why we’re so concerned about our appearance in this day and age; there are cameras everywhere! If you’re not entirely comfortable in your own body, then put on those running shoes, or join a gym. It’s amazing what a few weeks of intense running and working out can do for a person’s confidence! And perhaps more important than the look we achieve are the hits of dopamine that we’ll receive. It’s much easier to feel confident if you’re walking around with a genuine smile on your face!

Control What You Can Control

As well as the look and shape of our body, one thing that knocks our confidence is how we perceive our level of attractiveness. First thing’s first: you’ll never look like Angelina Jolie – you can’t change your genetic makeup! But you can change some of the things that are within your control. If you don’t like how your hair looks, then visit the salon. If you have skin problems, then speak to a board certified dermatologist, and see if there’s a way to improve your complexion. Bad teeth can be fixed with the help of an orthodontist. You get the idea; don’t worry about the things you can’t change, and do something about the things that you can.

Trying Something New

It’s all too easy to get stuck in a rut of behavior that damages your self-confidence, especially of those behaviors knock your self-esteem. But one of the best things about life is that we can do anything and everything. If it’s been awhile since you tried something new, give it a go. Learning a new skill, visiting a new country, or otherwise stepping out of your comfort zone can do wonders for your confidence issues.

Stop Comparing Yourself

If there’s one thing that we all need to stop doing, it’s comparing ourselves to others. We focus on the best points of other people and compare them with the worst aspects of ourselves. But here’s the thing: everyone does this! So no-one has everything, and everyone wants a little bit more. You’ll be much happier if you stop playing this game because it doesn’t lead anywhere.

Change Your Mindset

Finally, don’t discount the power of positive thinking! You can change your mindset, and, in turn, change how you see yourself. You don’t have to stick with the mindset that you’ve got, no matter how long you’ve had it. Change it, and change yourself!

Merry Christmas Eve 🎄 As you can see, I take Christmas very seriously 😂 Haha, a candid photo of me putting on my jacket before continuing to explore the magical @123farmorganics turned out to be my fave ridiculous holiday photo this year.
