3 Reasons Why Travelers Should Try CBD

cbd oilHumans have designed airplanes to be the peak of safety and efficiency, an intricate machine capable of defying gravity and opening up the entire world for the average consumer. Going from New York to Paris has never been this easy.

Sadly, while plane design keeps changing, we can’t redesign the human body. Anyone who’s an expert at long-haul flights knows what a challenge they can be. The cramped space, the pressurized air, and the difference in time zones all place a lot of stress on the body. Stress that is accentuated with the anxiety that travel plans tend to cause, especially when said plans go wrong.

The good news is that, while we can’t redesign our bodies quite yet, we can use different chemicals to help our bodies endure certain trials. CBD, for example, might be just what you need to make your next flight more comfortable. Here’s why.

1 – CBD is a natural anxiolytic

There are arguments over the effectiveness of CBD for treating different conditions. The market is still new, and there are unsubstantiated health claims being thrown around left and right. But there is one thing everyone seems to agree on: CBD is pretty relaxing.

Relaxation can be just what you need before and during a flight. It can calm down your nerves, bring down anxiety levels, and help you manage stress. While relaxing, CBD does not impair your cognitive ability in any way, meaning that you’ll still be able to deal with problems should they arise. You just won’t panic so much if something goes wrong.

If stress is a major concern for you in the airport or inside planes, CBD is definitely worth a try. For maximum effect, don’t start using CBD at the airport. Start ingesting edibles in six and six hours 24 hours before the plane departs. Just make sure you experiment with the dose beforehand, so you don’t oversleep if you have an early flight.

2 – CBD helps manage pain

Many people who suffer from chronic pain conditions seek CBD as a form of relief. It is also used by cancer patients looking to alleviate the pains caused by chemotherapy. In both cases, the two aspects of CBD that make it attractive are its analgesic and its anti-inflammatory properties. Combined, they work to alleviate the symptoms and treat the causes of pain.

For your travels, these properties mean that CBD can help you endure cramped confines and lack of movement with less suffering than usual. It can help you feel less sore, and reduce the stress travel imposes on your body.

3 – CBD helps you sleep

CBD is an effective sleep aid. We aren’t sure why yet, but there are theories. The anxiolytic effects of CBD make it easier for you to relax and fall asleep, for example. And the substance does seem to affect hormonal levels throughout the body, which can facilitate sleep. On top of that, a reduction of inflammation throughout the body can also promote well-being and help you sleep more easily.

The benefits of better sleep during your travels should be obvious. This means that CBD can help you get more rest the night before you depart, it can help you sleep in the airplane, and it can make it easier for you to adapt to the new time zone once you land, reducing the effects of jet lag. If you’re planning on taking CBD alongside other medication, you should read this Cibdol guide on the matter.
