Wow, I’ve been vegan since 1998, way before there was even a Whole Foods here in Los Angeles! SO I’ve seen the good, the bad and the ugly when it comes to vegan products, especially the evolution of vegan cheese. But as many folks know, companies like Follow Your Heart and Miyoko’s Creamery are turning the vegan cheese and products industry into a full veg-olution!
I gotta start with the vegan egg by Follow Your Heart. Man, a scramble-able egg that is also great for baking? What a tasty innovation!
Follow Your Heart also changed the sliced cheese scene with their killer line of vegan cheeses from jack to smoke gouda and now they are launching a shredded parmesan!! Whaaaaa???!!!
And no one does gourmet like Miyoko’s Creamery what with her gorgeous hard, aged and soft cheeses and now she has the best buffalo mozzarella in the biz!
So vegans pretty much have everything omnivores have. We just gotta crack the code on cottage cheese and I think we’re all set!
