vegan fast food optionsFast food restaurants have the negative notion of being full of oil-laden, fatty, and unhealthy food. By its nature, fast foods provide everyone with their comfort food, and comfort food isn’t usually associated with healthier options. However, this is no longer the case. It may come as a surprise to you, but there are actually a lot of vegan fast food meals that you can try out! Take a quick look at a popular fast food menu website, and you will see that they now cater to the more health-conscious as well.  Here’s a list of the top choices:

1. Baked potato from Wendy’s

Baked potato is as vegan as it can get, being that it is sourced from a root crop. This offer is in addition to all the other salads that you can get, provided you ask them to make one without the meat, of course. If you find your baked potato to be too plain, you can simply have it for take-away, and incorporate your favorite vegetables as toppings when you get home.

2. Pretzels from Auntie Anne’s

Little do you know that your favorite hot pretzels from Auntie Anne’s can be tweaked into vegan pretzels. All you have to do is to ask for it to be made sans butter. You may have to wait a little bit longer, but for a healthier option, then it is definitely worth the wait. You can choose from the following flavors:

  • Cinnamon sugar
  • Original
  • Sweet almond
  • Garlic
  • Jalapeño
  • Raisin

3. French toast sticks from Burger King

Burger King is not just known for its famous burgers. They now offer options for vegan diners as well. This breakfast meal from Burger King is made to be vegan, such that they skip the eggs and milk in making them. When you walk in the store, therefore, you can choose something other than the usual green salad.

Apart from the French toast sticks, you can also try out their fries, because Burger King also makes a vegan option of it.

4. Hash browns and waffle potato fries from Chick-fil-A

Chick-fil-A has also joined the bandwagon of fast food chains that now serve vegan dishes. In this favorite joint, you can find two vegan options that are also becoming a popular hit. These two vegan meals are:

  • Hash browns
  • Waffle potato fries

For your kids, you can offer them an even better alternative to sweets, such as the fresh fruit cup. In addition, if you really are looking for that dose of more vegetables, you can order their superfood side salad, which is composed of kale, broccoli, and roasted nuts.

5. Sofritas from Chipotle

One of your favorite Mexican fast food joints Chipotle has also added vegan options in their menu. They offer sofritas, which is basically tofu that is added with spices and peppers. You can ask for this option, instead of meat, for the following:

  • Burritos
  • Nachos
  • Salad bowls

To make things better, they have made their tortillas a vegan option as well.

6. Fruit and maple oatmeal from McDonald’s

McDonald’s, one of the fast food giants, has made dining a healthier experience, too. Apart from your usual favorite breakfast meals, you can now order fruit and maple oatmeal, without the cream, to give you that dose of energy for the day, minus the unhealthy calories.

7. “Secret veggie” menu from In-N-Out

In-N-Out is world-famous for its burgers and fries. Take note, too, that their fries is one of the more popular vegan options in this fast food diner. However, insiders have noted that they also serve a secret meal, one that only the regular vegetarian diners have discovered. Now, you would too. All you have to do is say the following: “One sandwich without the patty, without the spread, and without the cheese as well. Only add the grilled onions, lettuce, and tomato.”

The phrase as mentioned above will allow them to serve you their vegan burger.

8. Veggie delite 6″ on Italian bread with Subway vinaigrette from Subway

Subway is known for its mouth-watering and delicious sandwiches. Now they offer healthier sandwiches as well. All you have to do is order the classic veggie delite sandwich, and ask them to take out the cheese and the mayo, and replace it with the Subway vinaigrette for flavor. Here you will instantly have an all-vegan meal.

9. French fries from KFC

Did you know that the french fries from KFC are actually vegan, too? Yes, they are. Apart from the fries, there are other choices in their menu that are friendly to their vegetarian customers. These are:

  • Grilled corn on the cob without butter
  • Green beans

10. Build your own burger at Denny’s

When you go for the build your own burger at Denny’s, you can ask for a vegan patty instead, and a wheat bun. Add to this all your favorite vegetables, and you wouldn’t have to miss out on the mouth-watering treat that this fast food joint can offer.

Conclusion

With this list, you can definitely see that you do not have to compromise your healthy eating options just because you have to run to your children’s favorite fast food joint. Fast food also now goes beyond the usual burgers and fries, as you now have a wide array of healthier options for your body.

Be sure to tell Boston Market how you feel about their menu and options!

Thanks for your review. For me, as a vegetarian, this article is very useful because I now know that healthy food can be ordered in fast food restaurants. It is also important for me that the packaging is environmentally friendly, for example, paper bags https://mcdonaldpaper.com/paper-bags ,which quickly decompose, which has a positive effect on nature.
