Emani Minerals Vegan Makeup Product Review

Did you know that many of our skincare products have chemicals in them? Not just everyday chemicals, but some known to be toxic and bad for your health? These toxins may age your skin, disrupt your hormones, and some have even been linked to cause cancer. Luckily, there are other options.

Advantages Of Organic

Pure products, such as activated charcoal soap, have only natural organic ingredients. Meaning that they don’t have any harmful chemicals. They are all natural and organic, helping the environment too. These natural options make it less likely to have harmful side effects and reactions on your skin. Many people find a much more refreshing clean with organic options. These options also don’t have the burn that some chemical options do.

The difference is especially noticeable in face masks. While chemical rich masks often leave the face red and irritated, and even sometimes produce an allergic reaction, pure masks leave the skin feeling cool and refreshed. They both do their jobs well, but one is so much safer for you.

Natural products can also work better for you not just in the long term, but right away. Again, facial cleansing masks and soaps are a great example. Activated charcoal detoxifies your skin and cleans away dead skin cells and dirt; plus it minimizes pores, reduces acne and oil on your face. It also reduces skin irritation and, in the long run, doesn’t have aging skin effects associated with it as chemicals have. When it detoxifies, it also brings bacteria out of your skin making your face more healthy.

Advantages Of Vegan

Vegan beauty products have absolutely no chemicals. In addition, they are good for animals and the environment. If that wasn’t enough, they are actually healthy for your skin. They will help with immediate results and in the long run as well. The thing with chemical options is that the chemicals seep into your pores and into your body. They can be the cause of long-term health problems down the road. Vegan products have the opposite effect. They seep into your pores and actually make your skin healthier than before!

Chemicals To Avoid At All Costs

There are too many terrible chemicals to name one by one, but three of the things you should really worry about are formaldehyde, nanoparticles, and fragrances. Formaldehyde is known to cause cancer, but can still be found in nail polish (and it’s remover), hair gel, soap, and other products. Some hair treatments can also expose you to inhaling formaldehyde. There are also preservatives associated with releasing formaldehyde. These can even be found in some baby shampoos.

Nanoparticles are a newer problem. They are found in many products but mainly sunscreen. Various types of nanoparticles can cause toxicity in your cells and DNA damage. Not all nanoparticles are bad for you, however, so do your research if you are going to buy something that has them in it.

Then there are fragrances. Practically every beauty product out there from lotion to soap has a fragrance. The thing with fragrances, though, is that cosmetic companies don’t have to tell you what chemicals are in their fragrances or added as a fragrance because that is considered a trade secret. There could be any number of harmful chemicals in your moisturizer or body wash that they label doesn’t tell you! Don’t buy things with chemical fragrances.

With fragrances, you also need to watch for phthalates. These are a common ingredient in scented products. It causes hormone imbalance in both men and women. It’s also linked to an increased risk of breast cancer. On top of that, it’s associated with weight gain by altering your metabolism.

Be Aware Before You Buy

Careful consideration of products and their chemicals is good, but skipping the chemicals and going straight for pure natural ingredients is better. Not only will you look great now but you won’t have to worry about long-term damage to your skin. You do not want to expose yourself to any more health risks with the products you use every day.
