New Ways To Treat Sick PeopleMillions of people around the world get sick every day. The casualties from sickness often worry about the kind of treatment they’re going to receive from healthcare providers. How fast are they going to recover? Will the sickness spread to family members? And other similar questions are on the minds of people who suffer from sickness.

Innovations in treating patients aren’t limited to new drugs. Healthcare providers and experts have been able to discover and adapt new ways of providing treatment which research and case studies have shown are better at being cost-friendly, healing faster and improving the quality of the patient’s life.

Here are some new ways that medical professionals have been using to treat sick people;

1. Online consultation and treatment

Video chatting and other online consultation services are being provided by healthcare companies like Md Aligne. Healthcare professionals are focusing on using these technologies to interact with patients. It has allowed people who are sick but don’t have access to experts nearby to directly contact specialists.

Patients no longer have to get appointments for check-ups or wait in the sitting room for their turn. Online consultations are a great way for people suffering from sickness to save time and money. It’s also keeping them away from spreading germs and elements, which can make other people sick. Sick people are now able to quarantine themselves while receiving treatment and consultancy from the comfort of their homes.

2. Smartphones

Yes, smartphones have been developed to treat patients. Often, people aren’t able to financially, emotionally and physically maintain a treatment regime, which is why sophisticated devices such as smartphones are being developed to allow treatment at any time of the day from any location.

An example comes in the form of specialized smartphone that’s named Mobilyze. It’s a device made by CBITS (Center for Behavioural Intervention Technologies at Northwestern University) researchers that uses a machine learning technology to determine patterns of people related to their activities, behavior and physical location. It then recommends the patient the procedures which reduced their sickness in the past.

3. Smartphone and tablet apps

The last few years have seen a rise in the number of tablets and smartphone apps for the medical sector. The apps are even being used at the community level by doctors and nurses to analyse and treat patients who are sick.

The apps are able to capture data and update patient information to remote servers. Medical professionals who are able to access those servers are able to analyze patient data and provide suggest them real-time treatment, and also keep the progress of the patient in check. Some examples of the popular apps that are being used by healthcare and medical organizations include VisualDx and Medscape.

4. Motion Sensors

Healthcare providers who treat the patients at the hospital are now making use of motion sensors to track the progress of the patients after they’ve been discharged. The motion displays data on smartphones, tablets and remote computers.

Motion sensors are able to update medical professionals about the recovery of patients and whether they need to further brief the patient or otherwise. This breakthrough technology has also reduced the cost for patients, who are conveniently updated on their progress in any remote location.

These new ways are helping people who are sick to save time, money and recover faster from diseases that make them ill.
