Great Gifts Your College-Bound Daughter Would Appreciate

college off campusYou knew this day would come, but it arrived faster than you imagined. Your little princess has transitioned into young adulthood and is on her way to college. You’re both anxious and excited about what lies ahead. As the days wind down until you see your daughter off, you want to give her something meaningful and/or useful that she can take with her. There’s no shortage of items you could buy for a college-bound student, but here are a few gift ideas you (and she) can appreciate.

Skincare Products

Every college girl wants to look her best on campus. Getting free skincare products from mom and dad is certainly going to be appreciated. There are a lot of brands on the market and it is essential that you buy the products that will best treat her skin type and/or condition. For example, If she’s had acne problems, then buying acne treatment products would be best. If she doesn’t have a skin condition, however, it would be best to purchase general skincare products to help maintain her flawless skin.

Activewear

Activewear is another great gift idea for your college daughter. In recent years, active gear has gone far beyond the gym. There are trendy fashions made from some of the best fabrics that look great whether’s she’s going for her morning jog or off to an early class. There’s no shortage of colors and styles, so she can mix and match to create outfits that make her look and feel great.

Cookware

Food is an ongoing expense for college students. Though most campuses have cafeterias and are located near restaurants, the costs can add up quickly if she’s eating out every day. Not to mention, eating takeout every day is no way to stay healthy in college.  You can help your daughter out by investing in cookware that allows her to make healthy meals from her dorm. A crockpot, electric pan, or microwave, for instance, are small enough to store and can make it easier for her to prepare food.

Headphones

If your daughter will be sharing a dorm room in college she’s going to need a pair of headphones. Though she may very well get along with her roommate, there are going to be times when she needs to tune out the rest of the world. Whether she’s studying, watching something on television, or rocking out to her favorite music, you can’t go wrong with a pair of noise-canceling headphones or earbuds.

Dorm Room Decor

One of the best parts about being in a dorm room is the idea of personalizing your own space. If you’ve already helped your daughter get the basics like storage containers, bedding, and a desk, dorm room accessories is a great gift. You can help her make the space her own with posters, artwork, vases, throw pillows, curtains, or whatever else you’d like to purchase.

Your daughter is about to embark on the experience of a lifetime. Though the moment is bittersweet, you can do your princess a solid by getting her gifts like those mentioned above. These gift ideas can all be used to help make her college experience easier, more affordable, and a lot more fashionable – all things she can appreciate.

Yes, I will definitely not reject these gifts. Each of them.
But now the most actual for me is a theme of the decor of my dorm room, therefore the most desirable gift for me would be bed linen or curtains. Haha.
