Natural Remedies for Physical & Mental Pain

The pharmaceutical industry is designed to make as much money as possible. They want people dependent upon their product, the drugs they produce for various ailments, diseases, and conditions. If you’re struggling with physical or mental discomfort, you might not need a prescription. There are many natural remedies that can be used to mitigate stress, anxiety, depression, and pain. Below are some natural remedies that can be used for both physical and mental pain.

Turmeric

Turmeric is a plant crushed up into a powder or put into a capsule. It is used as a spice, but it also has multiple health benefits. Turmeric helps fight inflammation. It reduces swelling and facilitates arthritis. Turmeric has shown anti-cancer properties and can even be used to mitigate depression and anxiety. Whatever physical ailment you are struggling with, turmeric can help because it reduces inflammation. Inflammation is one of the main causes when it comes to physical discomfort and pain.

CBD & Cannabis

Like turmeric, CBD has been proven to reduce inflammation. It has shown the ability to mitigate depression and anxiety. It can help cancer patients eat while reducing their pain. Cannabis also improves the mood. The plant is so beneficial, in fact, you can go into a full cannabis pharmacy and look for the products that you need.

While smoking marijuana has become accepted as a recreational way to use the drug, if you are looking for healing there are plenty of other ways to use cannabis to your benefit. Whether you need to improve your appetite, mitigate anxiety, or lower physical pain from an accident, cannabis is a much better choice than many antidepressants, anti-anxiety drugs, and opioid painkillers.

Ginger

Ginger root is also used in cooking and as a pickled snack, but did you know it is full of anti-inflammatory and anti-pain agents? Ginger is very good for you. You can eat it, put it into a shake, or take a supplement. Ginger has been widely used for its healing properties across Asia for decades. The West has now accepted the root for its many benefits. If you are experiencing pain and turmeric isn’t working for you, you should probably give ginger a shot.

Psilocybin

When you take psychedelic mushrooms, it can be difficult to believe that they grow in the ground naturally. They have incredible properties, even causing visual hallucinations and grandiose visions. Psilocybin is not just a recreational drug, though. It has been used for centuries as a healing agent and modern science is now studying this chemical for its many health benefits.

Psilocybin has shown great promise in its ability to help terminal patients accept the end of their life. It has also shown it can reduce depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The benefits of psilocybin remain to be seen. The research and treatments that are resulting are quite exciting.

Aromatherapy

When you smell plant oils like tea tree oil, it can help soothe anxiety and stress. Lavender is also incredibly useful. It can alleviate insomnia and reduce the heart rate. With these calming smells, there can be all kinds of benefits. Mitigating inflammation can be accomplished with aromatherapy, but the ability to calm the person, lower stress, decrease anxiety, improve their mood, and ultimately leave them in a better place is amazing for such a simple treatment.

Cinnamon

Another spice that can improve your physical state is cinnamon. Cinnamon has shown that it can facilitate blood sugar. Containing a chemical called cinnamaldehyde, the substance provides antioxidants. Cinnamon helps break down carbohydrates in the digestive tract. It also improves insulin sensitivity. Who knew that a spice so tasty also had such great benefits? Cinnamon may even be prescribed from a doctor for certain patients with diabetes.

Peppermint

Finally, peppermint is an herb also associated with the holidays. When you think of Christmas, you probably think of cinnamon and peppermint. Peppermint relieves irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and can reduce nausea. Those with stomach issues can greatly benefit from drinking peppermint tea. It can soothe muscles in the colon, reduce bloating in the abdomen, and decrease pain. When you are struggling with stomach pain and sensitivity, try drinking some peppermint tea or taking a supplement.

When it comes to natural remedies, the world is full of them. How do you think people functioned before pharmaceutical drugs? Next time you are in physical or mental pain, don’t go straight to the doctor for a prescription. Try one of these natural remedies. You might be surprised about the results.

I am facing stomach ache more often and mint leaves can be a temporary solution for me at the moment. However, in the long run, I may need to make time to go to the clinic. Anyway, thank you very much for your useful sharing.
