3 Simple Ways To Get In Touch With Your Spiritual Side

wellnessBeing spiritual doesn’t mean that you are into crystals, you believe in fairies or that you can see the aura of everyone on the street. Being spiritual means understanding the world around you and feeling content in your relationship with every other living thing. We often question our place in the universe, whether God exists and what the point of it all is. Often this can lead us along a spiritual path, whether we are religious or not. Being content and satisfied with your position in the whole scheme of things is crucial to your spiritual self. Take a look at these three simple ways to get in touch with your spiritual side.

Meditate

Don’t assume that meditating means chanting, being in a room full of hippies, or sitting cross-legged. Meditation has been a spiritual practice for centuries, originating in India and with the Buddha. You don’t have to be a Buddhist to meditate. Meditation is crucial to lowering your blood pressure, helping you maintain a sense of calm, and getting you to release your negative thoughts. Meditating can help you become more spiritual as you find a sense of inner peace that you never knew was there. Focusing on your breathing, you can complete meditation exercises to help sharpen your mind. One example is trying to stay as still as possible with your eyes closed when sat down while visualizing a burning candle.

Seeking Reassurance

It’s ok to explore different realms of spiritualism. You may want to visit the old church you used to attend as a child if you feel a pull towards it. You might want to seek signs from heaven and speak to psychics, or you may wish to go on a spiritual pilgrimage to Nepal. By doing something physical and talking to people who are also on a spiritual quest, you can feel less isolated. You are not alone in wanting to seek something spiritual in your life. If you feel like you’ve lost connection with the world or you simply don’t feel like your old self, you may be neglecting your spiritual side. Talk and discuss your thoughts with your nearest and dearest or someone more objective.

Get Outside

With spirituality encompassing your relationship with nature and the world, it makes sense that you might want to be outside a little more. Heading for walks in the park, along the beach or in the woods, can help surround you with clouds, the sea, trees, and greenery. Natural light can lift your mood, help release endorphins, and give you a natural boost. Sunlight will help to regulate your body clock, allow you to sleep better, and give you the dopamine hint that you need. Being outside means we can be social with friends or seek some quiet time on our own. Closing your eyes and feeling the wind on your face and the rain on your skin can rejuvenate you and help you to re-establish your relationship with nature.

You don’t have to be religious to be spiritual. Follow this guide and locate your spiritual side.

If you want to learn more about yourself, you may want to consider a positive psychic reading positivelypsychic.com. This is a type of reading that gives insight into your life and offers guidance to help you make better choices.
