5 Healthy Beauty Tips

take care of your skinYou may get so busy with the day-to-day activities that you forget to take care of yourself, especially your face and body. These days, it’s easy to get into the trap of unhealthy habits with fast food, cheap toxic cosmetics, and soft drinks readily available everywhere. These products may sate your temporary needs, but they won’t be healthy for you in the long run.

You may not have so much time for good routines, especially when you’re dealing with too much work or study load. However, when you’re in your 20s, you need to start having healthy beauty habits that your 30s and 40s self will thank you for.

Here are five healthy tips for better beauty:

1. Check the label of your beauty products

Sometimes, beauty products that are currently in the market may not have your best interests at heart. Some of these cosmetics may contain harmful ingredients like mercury to help the pigmentation stick to your skin. To ensure overall health, you need to check the label of the products you’re planning to buy.

When you’re buying a beauty product, make sure that it contains natural and safe ingredients. Korean beauty companies like Benton have invested a lot in their research and development teams to make sure that every item is dependable and effective. This practice also stems from the fact that Koreans are very particular about the products they put on their faces. Because of their meticulous and skin-loving nature, more people from all over the world trust Korean beauty products for their health practices.

2. Make sure your face is always clean

Your entire body has pores that allow your skin to breathe and extract oils through sweat. The oils, when combined with dirt and bacteria, could get trapped in the pores and turn into acne. It’s essential to maintain a neat face so that there will be minimal dirt to catch when it’s oily.

At night, especially before bedtime, it’s paramount to prioritize the cleanliness of your face. Remove your makeup and do a secondary clean with Benton Honest Cleansing Foam to ensure that you clear your face from all harmful materials before hitting the sack.

3. Hydrate inside and out

Your organs need water to function correctly and adequately. The skin is the largest organ on your body, so it’s essential to ensure its hydration. You don’t have to buy expensive creams or products as long as you maintain this good habit.

You can hydrate your skin through the following methods:

  • Drinking at least 2 liters of water.
  • Applying Benton Tea Tree Mist, especially on a hot day.
  • Using a moisturizer before putting on makeup.
  • Applying a hydrating sunscreen product.

Hydration is vital to everyday health, especially during hot days or when you’re in a tropical place. Always bring a face mist in your bag, especially when you’re traveling in humid areas.

4. Watch what you eat

Your overall beauty and wellness depend on what you consume. Fruits and vegetables are generally suitable for your skin and complexion, while other food may contain allergens. These products can influence how your skin looks and feels.

Here are some acne-causing food products you should avoid:

  • Dairy products that may stimulate your liver to produce more acne-developing IGF-1.
  • Refined sugars that increase the risk of acne development by 30%.
  • Nuts and seafood that contain allergens triggering skin asthma and pimples.
  • Fast food and oily food that contain preservatives could alter hormone levels and promote acne development.

Make sure that you consult a dermatologist on specific skin conditions that you may have. You could be using the best acne creams, but they would be useless if you don’t watch what you eat.

5. Use sun protection

Sun damage can cause various problems on your skin, including skin aging, dark spots, and flaky texture. When you’re going out during the day, even if you’re staying inside your office, for the most part, you need to apply sunscreen. Sunscreen can help you block harmful UVA and UVB rays and prevent skin damage.

The Bottomline

Beauty is a commitment, and it’s better to form healthy daily habits than fall short in the long run. You have to be mindful of what you eat, what you drink, and what you put on your skin. Make sure that you do your research on the products you’re planning to buy, and the food you want to eat.
