cbd oilThe modernized yet ancient world of plant medicine is a growing market, and widening and growing body of documented experiences and research, as ancient medicinal practices and experiences are sought by people from all parts of the world for wide varieties of diseases, ailments and problems. Other natural solutions, such as simply spending time outdoors, walking, drinking plenty of water, opening windows in your home, and cooking with natural and organically grown produce and ingredients are some of the most basic acts of self love and self care we can exercise. Let’s take a look into some age old solutions for some of our modern day problems:

  1. Anti-inflammatory components like CBD oil, turmeric root, aloe juice and others are giving millions of people relief they haven’t experienced with any other remedy. Turmeric a commonly used root, used in the Indian culture for thousands of years, that has immeasurable health benefits. It’s commonly used in mustard, so many have been consuming it from childhood, without realizing its deeper meaning and integration across the last 4000 years of history. To be the most effectively processed in our bodies, it’s best taken in conjunction with the oil of freshly ground black pepper. Like most ingested consumables, is usually best experienced when used in eating and drinking so the full range of taste and digestion occurs. Integrating these and other anti-inflammatories can be as easy as adding them to your next meal or drink, without much interruption in taste and consistency. CBD oil can also be applied directly to the skin for fast and thorough absorption for pain relief and other symptom relief in the form of CBD cream and other topicals. It’s being used by athletes, professionals, children, pets, grandparents and people from all walks of life are experiencing the benefits of reduced inflammation in their guts, joints and skin, thanks to the increased availability of information and natural remedies.

  2. Time in nature. Grounding can be done just about anywhere, simply by putting your barefeet in the grass, dirt or sand. Basking in the sunshine and feeling the warmth wash over your body brings a sense of connection, calm and internal warmth that can’t possibly be measured by thermometrics. Taking hikes and walks through the forest have scientifically documented health benefits, and the more this can be done, the more benefits can be experienced. Time near and in the water, especially salt water, has similar benefits as well. There’s a certain calmness that comes with these activities, that can be enjoyed by people from almost all parts of the world. If you’re stuck inside, opening windows is another lovely way to bring nature into your space, especially if there’s a gentle breeze. It’s been cited that indoor air quality is dramatically more polluted than that of outdoor air quality. We are perhaps one of the first few generational ranges to not worship the sun, and our decreased vitamin D levels are very reflective of our increased time indoors, and decreased time outdoors.

Consuming foods and ingredients, as well as using the most natural ingredients possible on your body, are some of the surest paths to optimal health and reduced stress on your body’s physical and emotional health and resiliency. Spending time in nature is something most people could benefit greatly from, and it is absolutely free of charge. Drinking filtered water and natural teas are also ways to keep healthy and in tip top shape.
