How CBD Oil Can Help Your Health

cbd oilCannabidiol, or as it’s better known, CBD has been increasing in popularity over the last several years. It comes from the cannabis plant and actually has a lot of uses. It can help with ailments such as minor inflammation to more serious illnesses such as diabetes. It’s not recommended that you ignore your current medications, but rather introduce the discussion with your physician and see if it can work in tandem with your medications if not replace them entirely.While the research is limited, a growing number of people have anecdotally reported significant relief after using CBD oil for anxiety.

Chronic Pain

Suffering from chronic pain is debilitating and directly affects your quality of life. For some people, this means a daily regimen of painkillers, many of which are highly addictive. Others suffer through the pain because they don’t want to rely on drugs. This is where CBD’s anti-inflammatory properties come into play. It’s easy to take, just a few drops of a CBD tincture once or twice a day can help ease the level of pain you feel. It may not take it all away, but a decrease is often better than nothing and can make the difference in what you achieve during the day.

Acne

If you suffer from acne, you know how hard it can be to keep flare-ups under control. They seemingly come out of nowhere and before you know it, you’re fighting with different over the counter medicines to keep them at bay. Since they tend to flare up with increased hormones and stress, there’s no way to predict when an attack will occur. But, believe it or not, solutions containing CBD can help keep these inflammations at bay.

Anxiety

If you suffer from anxiety, it can be tough to face the world sometimes. The penchant for worrying means your life takes a backseat while you try to retain some semblance of order. Although it may feel as though you’re alone, you’re truly not. While there are plenty of medications available to help treat anxiety, they often come with detrimental side effects such as drowsiness, headaches and sometimes suicidal thoughts. The other risk that comes with these medications is that they can lead to addiction which, in turn, can lead to a deadly downward spiral. CBD oil for anxiety, however, can help alleviate the symptoms of anxiety and some studies show that it even works for children who have suffered traumatic events.

High Blood Pressure

If you suffer from high blood pressure, chances are you’ve been told that you’re at risk for serious complications such as a heart attack or stroke. These are two medical risks that you want to avoid if you can. Taking medications can help, but CBD oil contains properties that help to reduce stress and anxiety, which can lower your blood pressure as well. Talk to your physician about the possibility of CBD helping you in addition to or in place of pharmaceuticals.

Diabetes

This is a tough one because it’s not a disease that you can afford to play around with, regardless of whether you have been diagnosed with Type 1 or Type 2. If you’re looking for a way to manage your diabetes, you may have an option with CBD, but it’s a decision that you cannot make alone. It’s said to help with improving your sugar metabolism and helping with cell growth, but more studies are necessary to determine whether it can be a reliable substitute for proven medications.
