Putting Your Fitness on Autopilot: Ways to Lose Weight Without Obsessing Over It

weight lossIf you spend a good part of your day thinking about your diet and how to exercise properly you might even get into a scenario where you start to resent your regime, which is not going to be good news for your weight and health in the long run.

It is much better to find a way that works for you without even thinking or obsessing about it so that you can focus your mind on other things that need your attention throughout the day.

Here is a look at some ways to achieve weight loss without constantly counting the calories, plus a simple breakfast suggestion that could make a difference to your day, a trick that should fool your brain, and some insights on carb control and making the most of fiber-packed foods.

It is not just about calories

Many of us could be forgiven for thinking that the main reason you lose weight or gain it is purely a matter of how many calories you consume on a daily basis.

The amount of calories in your daily diet certainly matters, but it is not the only thing to focus your attention on. When you spend most of your time trying to count calories and worrying about whether you are getting enough exercise to burn off what you have eaten, you will be missing out on looking at the bigger picture and other ways to achieve your goals that don’t involve calculating calories.

What you should ideally be trying to do is to find a routine that means your fat loss and weight reduction efforts are on autopilot and not something that you are giving much thought to throughout the day.

Smoke and mirrors with plates

In a nutshell, using smaller plates is a magic trick that fools your brain into thinking that you are eating more than you actually are.

It is such a simple but effective trip to switch to a smaller plate at mealtimes and see how you start to feel full after clearing your plate of food, but it works. Exercising portion control is not something you need to agonize over so much if you just use a smaller plate to trick your brain.

Intermittent fasting

It is worth remembering that what you eat is always more relevant than when you eat, which means that you could potentially observe a bit of intermittent fasting to burn fat while retaining muscle.

Intermittent fasting does tend to work better when used in conjunction with a healthy diet so it is not a license to go overboard on pizza and burgers just because you managed to skip a few regular mealtimes.

You might also want to consider a healthy appetite suppressant like garcinia cambogia pro to keep those hunger pangs at bay for longer, and it would be a good idea to remember that intermittent fasting is just another strategy to use in your battle against fat, rather than a fix-all solution.

Filling fiber

Another idea that could help you with weight loss without stressing you out too much through the day would be to introduce more fiber into your diet.

When you eat foods that have a low energy density and plenty of fiber it can make you feel fuller quicker and with fewer calories consumed.

Vegetables and fruit are good healthy choices as they have a high water content and are rich in soluble fiber, gets broken down by bacteria in your digestive tract and is also understood to contain anti-obesity properties.

Cut down on carbs

If you want a simple but effective way of cutting down your weight without worrying so much about calorie counting or even portion control, the answer could be to work on reducing your carbohydrate intake.

Eating less carbs should automatically see you eat fewer calories and lose weight without any major effort on your part.

That is just one of several ways you can put your health and fitness on autopilot rather than spending too much time each day obsessing over it.
