bathing suit readyDo you have a holiday booked in which you will be jetting off to much warmer weather? Will your holiday involve lazy on the beach or by the pool? If so then you may be looking for advice on how to get your body bathing suit ready. Even if you don’t have a lot of time to “get ready”, there are still some steps you can take that will have you looking your best when you hit the beach.

Boost Your Water Intake

Here’s a trick that trainers love to use with their clients. This one doesn’t even involve exercising; just boost your water intake. Drinking plenty of water means you’ll be able to flush out the extra water weight you may be carrying. As well, if you are exercising and training, it’s a very important step to make sure you are properly hydrated.

As far as how much to drink, the general rule is that you need to drink at least half your body weight measured out in ounces. This means if you weigh 160 pounds, you should be drinking 80 oz. of water each day.

Say No to Carbs High in Starch

While you don’t have to go on some sort of crazy diet, it will pay off to pass on those carbs that are high in starch. This includes such items as crackers, cookies, bagels, pasta, and bread. The problem with these items is they tend to be filled with sodium, which will just lead to water retention. That’s exactly what you are trying to fight with your boosted water intake. As far as what foods you should be eating, reach for lean proteins, veggies, and fresh fruit.

Start Burning Off the Pounds

If the idea of heading to the gym and taking hardcore classes makes you cringe, you’ll be happy to know that there are other ways you can get moving. Exercising can happen in all different ways. You can enroll in a dance class, take up hula-hooping, start walking in your neighborhood, pick up a few exercise DVDs you can use at home, and engage in chores around the house. The goal is to include physical activity in your day, each and every day. Aiming for 30-40 minutes a day of activity is a great goal.

Focus on Muscle Training

For those who want to add a bit more to their exercise regime, muscle building and toning exercises will be the most beneficial. This can be done through Pilates since it strengthens your core, doing deadlifts with dumbbells, squats, and push-ups.

Purchase a New Bathing Suit

One of the best ways to look and feel great is to purchase a brand new bathing suit that fits your shape, size, and personal style. When it comes to variety, Leilani swimwear has you covered by offering a collection of solid and printed bathing suits in a variety of sizes and styles. Find everything from slinky two-piece suits, to trendy tankinis, and figure flattering one-piece suits.

Don’t forget to grab a great beach wrap, or cover-up to complete the look, leaving you feeling confident and comfortable.

Give Yourself a Little Color

When we are pale, we tend to look a little less toned and healthy. To help with this, you can pick up a light tanning lotion that allows you to control how deep the color gets. This will create a healthy glow to your skin that will also have you instantly looking more toned.

Prep Your Skin

Finally, the last step in getting your body bathing suit ready is to prep your skin. You can start by exfoliating and then use a moisturizing lotion. Hair removal will most likely be part of your routine as well, and there are plenty of options here.

Depending on where the hair is that you wish to remove, you may want to shave, have laser hair removal, or have the hair waxed. Keep in mind each of these methods differ in terms of how long the results last for. If you plan on using laser hair removal, you will need to start doing this well in advance of your trip so the results are what you want by the time you go away.

You’re Ready to Enjoy Your Holiday

Now that you’ve followed all of these tips for getting your body bathing suit ready, you’re all set to enjoy your holiday. You’ll have confidence knowing that you look and feel your absolute best, which will make it a whole lot easier to relax and unwind.
