Top Picks of Natural Products Expo West 2014

Another year has passed and another Natural Products Expo West has come and gone. 4 days, miles of products crammed into booths, tons of food, health & beauty and over 70,000 attendees each day make for a jam packed and exciting weekend for healthy lifestyle and foodies like me!

Each year Expo West grows larger and larger. Last year it outgrew the main hall and bottom floor to add in a 3rd floor of booths. This year they added in the arena so as you can imagine, every moment in the convention center counts to be sure nothing is missed. Lucky for you, I squeezed in every square foot of the convention center to discover the coolest new products that will be hitting store shelves near you very soon!

In no particular order, here are my top picks of new vegan, gluten free, healthy and or eco/green products debuted at this year’s Expo West!

Gardein Fish Filets – Not since my childhood have I had such delicious battered fish! And it’s not fish, it’s Gardein!
Neat Foods – The best, healthiest and tastiest meat alternative made from nuts!
Parmella Cashew Cream Cheese – Their vegan parmesan rocks and their cashew cream cheese is off the charts!
Mr. Dewies Cashew Cream Ice Cream – The creamiest, most flavorful ice cream you’ll ever devour!
Love Bean Raw Vegan Chocolate Fudge Sauce – My favorite fudge sauce ever and it’s good for you! Plus, when poured onto ice cream, it hardens like Magic Shell!
Chloe’s Soft Serve Fruit Co. Popsicles – From my top NYC ice cream shop pick comes their for-retail popsicles, yay!
Sophie’s “Salmon” and “Toona” – Um…delicious, convincing, vegan, gluten free and soy free!
Beyond Meat Ground “Beef” – Served up Taco Bell style, this pea protein vegan meat will knock your socks off!
Explore Asia Black Bean Pasta – Guilt free, gluten free and grain free, it’s the perfect alternative for the pasta lover ; )
Amy’s Vegan Breakfast Sandwiches – I love a good breakfast sandwich on the go and this gets extra points for being gluten free!
The Piping Gourmet’s Whoopie Pies – Gluten free, vegan and fantabulously delicious, single serve treats!
Date Lady Vegan Caramel and Fudge Sauces – Pretty much delicious on everything ; )
Sweet Earth Seitan “Bacon” – Even carnivores will eat this up, incredible!
Field Roast Veggie Burger – Voted best new product at expo this year, it lives up to it’s accolades!
Bitsy’s Brainfood – A great tasting cereal for kids that sneak in fruit and veggies in every bite!
Earth Balance Kettle Chips – With flavors like vegan Sour Cream & Onion and BBQ, you might want to pace yourself because it’s easy to eat the whole bag!
Iced Almond Milk Bhakti Chai – Gotta love a dairy free, iced chai drink on the go! Mmmm!!
Coconut Grove Coconut Yogurt – Organic, tasty and filled with real, organic fruit!
Daiya Smoked Gouda – They keep upping their game and they keep winning! Always vegan, gluten free and soy free.
Dry Soda – All natural sodas perfect for fun mixology!
