vegan health testingDespite recent advances in human life, we’re making many health mistakes during our daily lives. Although you might consider them trivial, they can gradually hurt your health and make trouble.

Unfortunately, thousands of commercials are constantly advertising products/services that many of them might be harmful to your health. It can be a bit hard to choose the right thing and avoid mistakes.

You need to know that many of these mistakes will become daily habits we can hardly forget. So, it’s important to recognize valid sources that provide scientific facts about daily routines.

Countless invalid channels are broadcasting these mistakes in a very convincing and high-quality format. Many of these channels are owned by fake social media users who try to become health influencers.

Keep in mind that many recipes and medications that are being advertised on different sites don’t have scientific support. For example, Social Tradia reports that many Instagram health influencers are just trying to gain followers and earn money or even sell Instagram accounts. They usually duplicate content from other sources and pretend to have authority in the health and lifestyle subject.

With a consistent study plan, you can recognize your health and lifestyle mistakes and correct them. For example, valid sources like Healthy Voyager, Life Hack, Health Line, and Help Guide can provide you with healthy routines.

In this article, we’re going to mention several common daily mistakes we’re all making in our lives.

1. Neglecting breakfast

Many of us might ignore breakfast and sleep a little more before going to work. That is a common mistake among people, especially those who work far away from home.

Keep in mind that you need to begin every morning with a healthy breakfast. It’s actually the most important meal in your day.

Here are several detrimental effects of skipping breakfast:

  • Your blood sugar levels drop
  • Your metabolism slows down
  • Increased risk of heart disease

2. Turning up the volume

Many people, especially youngsters, are accustomed to listening to their favorite music using headphones. It’s actually a courtesy to avoid bothering others when listening.

But you need to avoid cracking up the volume or you will do real damage to your ears. Here are several side effects of turning up the volume when using headphones:

  • NIHL(Noise-Induced Hearing Loss)
  • Tinnitus
  • Hyperacusis
  • Hearing loss
  • Dizziness
  • Ear infection
  • Excessive ear wax
  • Pain in the ears
  • Effect on the brain

3. Avoiding flossing

This is another common mistake that many people think that brushing alone is enough. Flossing is a key part of our health and unfortunately, many of us are skipping it.

You might consider trivial but remember that it can cause troubles you can’t imagine:

  • Cancer
  • Stroke
  • Heart disease
  • Premature birth

Of course, you need to perform flossing correctly to prevent further problems.

4. Carrying heavy backpacks

If you’re a student or a civil servant, you’re probably carrying a bag or a backpack. A laptop, books, documents, sandwiches, and many other things are your daily requirements.

But make sure that you’re not making it too heavy. Because it can cause several detrimental effects to your health, especially back pain.

This is especially important for your kids’ health since the bones and spine can be seriously harmed.

5. Having too much stress

Look at the below list of symptoms of having stress:

  • Irritability
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Headaches
  • Insomnia

If you feel these effects, you need to change your lifestyle and release your stress. Stress can harm your health more than any other unhealthy behaviors.

Sexuality and reproductive system, immune system, muscular system, digestive system, respiratory and cardiovascular systems and many other functions in your body will be impacted by having too much stress.

6. Not leaving smartphones

We’re being bombarded by electronic devices everywhere. The most applicable device we’re using in excess in smartphones. Keep in mind that using your phones all day can put your health in danger.

Here are several other side effects of using phones all day.

  • Radiation Exposure
  • Neck Damage

  • Finger & Hand Malfunction
  • Sleep concerns

7. Doing heavy exercises

Although a bit of exercise is paramount for your body, too much exercise can have detrimental effects on your health.

Here are some signs of heavy exercise:

  • Increased resting heart rate
  • Decreased appetite
  • Restless legs and dehydration
  • Sleep disturbances, for example, poor sleep quality or insomnia
  • Mental effects, for example, poor mood and increased stress

So, try to get advice from valid sources to avoid doing exercising too much.

8. Not sleeping enough

Just like food, sleep is a must for our body. Lack of enough sleep is a problem we’re facing these days, especially in the hustle and bustle of city life. Many people have a long commuting distance and, therefore, they can’t sleep enough in the morning.

Researches show that sleep disorders and chronic sleep loss can put you at risk for:

  • Heart disease
  • Heart attack
  • Heart failure
  • Irregular heartbeat
  • High blood pressure

Also, one of the most important causes of lack of sleep is excessive use of smartphones, and in particular, browsing on social media. It’s recommended to avoid using social media applications for more than 30 minutes a day.

9. Abruptly stopping taking medications

One of the most common behaviors many of us have is that we want to stop taking medicines just the moment we feel a bit better. It can be a serious danger is many cases.

Keep in mind that this can cause the illness to come back and many times the returning disease can be worse.

Stopping certain medicines suddenly can be life-threatening. So, you should stop taking medication just when your doctor lets you.

Here are several medications that are dangerous to stop abruptly:

  • Clonidine (Catapres)
  • Propranolol (Inderal) and other beta-blockers
  • Venlafaxine ER (Effexor XR)
  • Paroxetine (Paxil)
  • Benzodiazepines
  • Baclofen (Lioresal)

10. Getting sunscreen

You need to bear in mind that the sunlight can be harmful to your skin regardless of the season.

Fortunately, everyone nowadays knows sunburns can increase the risk of skin cancer. But the thing is that burning isn’t the only risk coming from the sun’s rays.

The most important side effects of excessive sunscreen are:

  • Acne
  • Burning
  • Itching
  • Stinging
  • Redness or swelling of the skin
  • Pain in hairy areas

11. Resisting to urinate

Ignoring the necessity of urinating immediately can cause your bladder to stretch out. Also, the possibility of growing bacteria will increase by postponing the urination.

It might be because of a busy day at work or university or even worse due to laziness. The result is the same, you’re putting your body at risk.

Here are several possible side effects of postponing the urination:

  • Pain
  • Urinary tract infection
  • Bladder stretching
  • Damage to pelvic floor muscles
  • Kidney stones
