My first stop was Pica Pica Maize Kitchen in the Oxbow Public Market. This super hip open market is jammed with great food stands a la gourmet food court as well as neat spice shops and all things gastronomic. At Pica Pica I was not only delighted to find an arepa restaurant, but one that also offered vegan options! Their veggie option is a big arepa sandwich filled with plantains, black beans and avocado, mmmm! With a side of yucca fries, it’s a slam dunk!
For finer dining, Brix Food and Wine is the place for you. Boasting local, seasonal food, Brix does a great job helping out vegan and gluten free diners. Their tempura beans and hummus flatbread are great as is their tuscan kale salad. Yum! If you let the chef know ahead of time of any dietary restrictions and they will hook you up!
Be it breakfast, lunch or dinner, C Casa is a super fun place. For Mexican fare with a twist, they have all sorts of fun options. With vegetarian choices that are easily veganized along with wheat free baked goods, C Casa will fill up everyone’s belly in a happy way! My fave is the White Bean tacos!
Italian is always a delicious choice and Hurley’s does it in a very Napa way. Fresh, local, Mediterranean/Italian cuisine that really epitomizes the Napa lifestyle. Veganize the kobocha and chantarelle risotto o the fabulous gnocchi and you have a winning dinner!
I love wine country so I’ll be sure to keep you posted on any new delicious eats on my next jaunt to the area!

Hi Carolyn,
My name is Karen Lynch and I am the owner of the Inn on Randolph in Napa, CA. I have been gluten free for over five years and when I opened the inn on May 31, 2012 I decided to make it entirely gluten free. If you are coming back to Napa we would love to have you visit the inn. Your site is wonderful. Thanks for all your hard work.
Warmly,
Karen Lynch
