stress-free travel tipsYou may sometimes face flight delays and cancellations if you are a regular traveler. Flight delays are usually caused by various factors, including weather, control issues, air traffic, mechanicals, airport security, crew problems, mechanicals, and many more. Such delays to your flights can alter your travel plans unpleasantly. By taking strategic action and proactive planning, you can easily deal with flight delays. Top five ways to deal with your flight delays are listed below.

Watch the Weather

It’s always a good idea to be proactive about the weather when it comes to booking a flight, particularly in winter. The weather forecast can give you an idea that your flight could be delayed or cancelled due to weather conditions. Weather forecasting is pretty reliable in the case of a winter storm. Therefore, you should book your flight by keeping in mind the weather conditions. On the other hand, summer storms are less predictable, so you should expect flight delays in summer. Therefore, you can always watch the weather forecast and book your flight on a clearer day.

Agree to Take a Different Path

Sometimes your airline will have another flight on the same day that might take a different path to reach your destination. There may be an extra stop and a few hours added in your route if you take that flight but it’s still better than losing a day or two. Call the customer service of your airline to get information about your flight status. In some cases, your airline may automatically rebook your flight on a completely different route to your destination. So, you should check the status of your connecting flight immediately.

Know Your Passenger Rights Before You Fly

Generally, according to your passenger rights, your airline should provide any form of compensation when a flight is delayed. The compensation includes refunds, discounts, food vouchers, or a hotel stay on the event of a flight delay caused by the airline. So remember to study the terms and conditions of your passenger rights before you book a flight with an airline. Passengers have more rights if you are flying in Europe or flying abroad on a European airline. You have to get your European flight compensation up to €600 in the case if your flight is delayed and you reach your destination more than three hours late.

Make Some Calls Soon After Your Flight Delays

If you have booked a car at your destination, inform the car rental agency about the status of your delayed flight. If it seems that the flight delay might last in the night, it may be a good idea to inform the hotel at your destination about your flight delay if you have booked the hotel already. Most hotels may not charge you until you check-in, so you might not lose any money even if you don’t reach your accommodation on the booked time.

I apologize to hear about your experience with the delayed flight compensation. It can be frustrating when the process takes longer than initially communicated. If you haven’t received compensation from the airline within the expected timeframe, you may consider reaching out to them again to inquire about the delay. Additionally, you can visit AirAdvisor’s website [Link deleted]for more information on refund and compensation procedures…

You are right, there are different situations, you could not get on the flight through your own fault, or the fault of the airline, in any case, it is very important to know and defend your rights here. By the way, a lot of useful information about edreams refund can be found here, I advise you to read it
