dubai healthy voyagerTo avoid any annoying little things ruining your family trip to Dubai, you need to plan the entire trip carefully, from purchasing plane tickets to returning home. You need a passport that is valid for at least six months. Before the trip, arrange medical insurance for the entire period of stay. PCR tests and vaccination certificates are not required as of November 8, 2022. Additionally, make sure to book your hotel, plan your meals, and rent transportation in advance for a more comfortable vacation. It is also advisable to plan your route to the attractions to make the journey interesting and not tiring.

How to choose a hotel

Before booking a hotel, determine your budget and match it with your needs. Depending on how many family members will be staying at the hotel and how many rooms and beds you need, choose several suitable options. Fortunately, Dubai has a large selection of hotels for any budget.

Think about your family’s needs. Do they need a pool and a playground, or a shopping center nearby? You can find hotels that offer these amenities. Then, choose a hotel in a convenient location that fits your sightseeing itinerary. Popular areas for family vacations include Jumeirah, Downtown, and the Marina.

Finally, read user reviews that travelers usually leave on specialized forums or directly on the websites where they booked the hotel. This will give you a better idea of what to expect.

How to rent a car

Choose a Reliable Company. To rent a car in Dubai, use the services of reputable companies. Compare offers from different firms to find the best rental conditions.

Book in Advance. Book your car in advance online to guarantee the availability of the car category you need and to avoid potential problems upon arrival.

Understand Rental Conditions. Review the rental conditions, including driver requirements (age, driving experience), insurance policies, and additional services such as child seats, enough luggage space, and the possibility to travel with pets. You can find long-term deals at https://octane.rent/monthly-car-rental-dubai/.

Be Prepared for Dubai’s Driving Conditions. Be prepared for the unique aspects of driving in Dubai: high speeds, multi-level interchanges, and heavy traffic. It takes more than a day to get used to it. Familiarize yourself with local traffic rules and main routes in advance.

Must see places

  • Burj Khalifa — The tallest building in the world. Enjoy the view of the city from the observation decks.
  • Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo. An ideal place for families with children, where you can see marine creatures and learn a lot about underwater life.
  • Dubai Frame. One of the city’s new attractions, the Dubai Frame offers stunning views and interesting exhibits about the city’s past, present, and future.
  • Jumeirah Beaches. Relax on one of Dubai’s beautiful beaches, enjoying the white sand and clear water.

Other tips

  • Learn about the list of items that cannot be brought into the UAE from other countries. This can include items such as three-layer nylon fishing nets, candy shaped like cigarettes, paan, betel leaves, white poppy seeds, red laser pointers, and more.
  • Dubai is a city with a hot climate, especially in summer. Plan active activities for the morning or evening to avoid the midday heat. On the beaches, you can rent an umbrella, but this costs around 50 dirhams, even on free beaches. Keep this in mind.
  • Remember the local traditions and laws, especially regarding clothing and behavior in public places. This is particularly important when visiting cultural and religious sites. For example, it is not customary to walk around the city in a swimsuit—this is only acceptable on the beach.
  • For instance, it is prohibited to consume alcoholic beverages on the streets in Dubai, and photographing government buildings and passersby is also forbidden. These are important points to consider when you are a guest in a foreign country.
  • Dubai offers many restaurants with cuisines from around the world. Be sure to try local dishes and visit family-friendly restaurants with kids’ menus.

By following these tips, you can organize a comfortable family trip to Dubai, enjoying all the opportunities this city offers its guests. Nothing can spoil a carefully planned trip
