cbd oilCBD is making the headlines these days, with more people than ever before trying this natural remedy to cope with their medical conditions. But many are still just starting to get familiar with this popular natural remedy. Find out the answers to the most common questions about CBD in this article.

It feels like everybody is talking about CBD these days. You see posts on social media mentioning this natural remedy, you see news about it, and you’ve probably also heard your friends sharing their experiences with CBD. Well, there’s a good reason why CBD is a popular topic nowadays: it’s a new concept with very promising benefits for people struggling with various medical conditions.

First, let’s make sure that we’re on the same page with what CBD is and what it is thought to help with. CBD is one of the most prevalent chemical compounds found in the hemp and marijuana plants. You can see it as the cousin of THC, the other prevalent compound that is more popular for its intoxicating effects. Although they come from the same plants, CBD doesn’t have the intoxicating effects THC has. In fact, the two impact our bodies differently. Researchers believe that CBD impacts the CB1 and CB2 receptors existent in the endocannabinoid system.

But what does CBD do? Well, there’s a plethora of research around CBD’s benefits, and several medical studies suggest that CBD can help with pain management, anxiety and depression, insomnia, neurodegenerative conditions, heart health conditions, acne, substance abuse, and many others.

Still have questions about CBD? We have the answers to the most commonly asked questions about this natural remedy. Keep reading below to find out more!

Is CBD legal?

Given its provenance from the hemp and cannabis plant, many people wonder if CBD falls under the same category of illegal substances. Yet, that’s often not the case with CBD.

In most parts around the world, CBD is legal as long as it is hemp-derived CBD. In other words, if the CBD comes from hemp plants, then it is considered legal. Another condition that CBD products must respect to be considered legal is to contain no more than 0,3% THC. This rule applies in most countries around the world, including the US, UK, and most countries from Europe. Some countries like Denmark or Bulgaria require CBD products to contain no more than 0,2% THC.

It’s also essential to know that cannabis-derived CBD is legal in countries where recreational or medicinal use of cannabis is legal.

Is CBD psychoactive?

Short answer: Yes, CBD is a psychoactive substance. But so is coffee.

If you run a Google search on CBD, you’ll find plenty of articles claiming that this substance isn’t psychoactive. However, the truth is that CBD is, in fact, psychoactive even if it doesn’t have the intoxicating effects of THC.

Now, find out that any substance that has any kind of impact on the brain is considered a psychoactive substance, and this includes caffeine as well.

Will CBD get you high?

We’ve already sort of answered this one above. CBD doesn’t have intoxicating effects. In other words, it won’t get you “high.”

Given that CBD is a marijuana-derived compound, it’s quite common for people to associate this substance with the “high” feeling. However, the intoxicating effects are attributed to THC, not CBD.

As mentioned above, the two impact the body differently. More specifically, while THC affects the cannabinoid receptors and activates them, CBD only dampens their activity but has no such effect as activating them.

That being said, CBD is a non-intoxicating substance.

What CBD products are there?

The most popular CBD product you’ll hear about is CBD oil. Yet, the truth is that CBD products come in many forms, including edibles, tinctures, drinks, vape juice, and many others.

As the experts from CBD Planet explain, “As CBD is growing in popularity, and so are its benefits, the market is getting bigger and more diverse than ever. More CBD-based products appear by the day to cater to all sorts of users.” These CBD products can be:

  • CBD drink and edibles
  • CBD nasal sprays
  • CBD tinctures
  • CBD topicals
  • CBD vape juices
  • CBD creams
  • CBD balms

There are even CBD toothpicks out there!

So, depending on the medical condition you are trying to treat with CBD and your personal preferences, you can choose from a great array of products. For example, if you want to manage your chronic pain condition, CBD topical options may be the suited products for you as they allow local application.

In terms of personal preferences, if you’re not a fan of the earthy taste of CBD, you can choose CBD drinks, edibles, or vape juices because these often have added flavors to hide the substance’s natural aroma.

Why is CBD not working?

If you’ve done your own research about CBD, you’ve likely seen, read, or heard about some stories in which CBD products do not deliver the expected results users had in mind. Or, you may have tried CBD yourself and didn’t feel anything. There can be several reasons for that, and they often have nothing to do with the compound’s genuine benefits.

CBD might not work for a user because:

  • The user doesn’t have a medical condition that CBD can help manage
  • The user doesn’t give CBD enough time
  • The CBD products are of poor quality
  • The user isn’t taking the correct dosage according to their medical condition and body characteristics
  • CBD is simply not working for that particular user (yes, this can be the case as well)

If you’re trying CBD but don’t get the expected results, make sure that the product you are using comes from a quality source, you are taking the right dosage, and CBD can impact the medical condition you want to treat.

What is the correct dosage of CBD?

There is no easy answer when it comes to this question. The correct dosage of CBD depends on various factors, including medical condition, body weight, and certain body characteristics.

There’s also research supporting that different people can respond differently to various dosages of this compound. So, the correct dosage for you might vary. It is always wise to talk to a specialist for help with figuring out the correct amount of CBD for you.

Thank you very much for this information. By the way, I study a lot of information about CBD products and I recently found out that there are drugs for treatment that contain marijuana, but only for medicinal purposes, and it has been scientifically proven that it contains a minimal amount and is not dangerous to health, on the contrary, find out more here https://mjcbdd.com/products/mj-delta-8-vape-juice. Moreover, it also improves your condition. I advise you to try.

Why do you need to quit smoking? I’ve tried a few times, but I can’t say that it’s really worth it.
