The Best Smart Home Improvements To Make In 2020

home exterior2020 has been a strange year! In January, there was some news about an outbreak in China, but few thought then it would have such a significant impact on the economy and people’s lives. Since the spring many things have changed, more people are working from home and many have had to give up their jobs. Hopefully temporarily. In the face of such a serious global crisis putting our vacations on hold or delaying or cancelling a move to a we buy houses property, can seem relatively unimportant. That said it’s a situation that is affecting many people. The lockdown restrictions have gone on for longer than anyone expected, and now many people are deciding to abandon plans and instead adjust to the new normal. Here are some ways house sellers are reinvesting their cash.

A Bathroom Renovation

Perhaps you’re unsure whether you’re going to sell or not but want to freshen up the bathroom. A winning idea is to renovate it in a way that adds value to your home without compromising on your tastes. Use neutral colors such as whites and blues that can be easily adapted in future if you do decide to sell. A complete refit might be an option for you if you have the time and money at the moment to invest in such a project. A refit will also add a lot of value to your home, but consider how much can be done without the outlay.

A Loft Conversion

Many people have a loft or attic in their home that is relatively disused. It might be a dark spooky region of the house filed with old portraits and cobwebs. Now might be a fantastic opportunity to convert the loft space into an extra bedroom. It is one of the most effective ways to increase the living space of your home and therefore the overall value. A loft conversion can make for a cozy bedroom, inviting living space, or home office. Adding a home office to your home will not only be advantageous to you it will present your home as a modern progressive option for future buyers.

In The Garden

Your garden will always be a great opportunity to sell a vision of your property to future buyers – but why only think about that! While you’re living there you should enjoy it too. Trim the borders, clear pathways, and cut back bushes. If you don’t have a decking area consider installing one. With lockdown restrictions easing, it’s possible to get-together in outdoor areas such as gardens for BBQs and small social gatherings. A new decking area will not only sell a vision to prospective buyers it will allow you to live the dream in the process.

A Home Office

Whether you have been furloughed from your job or are running a small business, a home office is the next big thing to have in the home. If you don’t have a loft or bedroom that can be easily converted, consider adding an extension to the house, converting a garage, or putting a shed in the garden. It’s a simple renovation that can increase the floor space of your home, boost its value, and give you a practical area to work in until the crisis comes to an end.

I love various smart home technologies that increase security, energy efficiency, or simply control over your home. For example, we recently installed an apple homekit light switch to control lighting around the house more conveniently. We really enjoyed

A home office is a wonderful thing, especially now, when many people work from home. But if you don’t have a home office, you can be content with coworking spaces. This is a place where you can fully concentrate on your work tasks and not be distracted by household chores.
A Global Coworking Study by Deskmag (https://www.ranchoffice.com/coworking-blog/why-do-people-thrive-in-coworking-spaces) found that 89.1% of participants were more productive and better able to concentrate (71.9%) in a coworking space than they were when working from home.

Hi, good recommendations. I think more and more about home safety. We recently renovated the roof and now we are thinking about solving all the wiring problems. Our electrical panel looks bad. I found this article that tells when to update it, and it seems the time has come

I constantly try to update my house. This is either new furniture or smart electronics that will make my life more comfortable or safe. I often take ideas from different product reviews, for example https://bestazy.com/home-amp-garden/. This way I can first familiarize myself with the new product and learn more about it
