A key part of training a dog is offering them rewards. When a dog is offered an incentive, they are more inclined to do what you want. Dog treats are not just used to motivate dogs but to reward them. When a dog is behaving well, most owners like to reward them. That is why it is important to know what dog treats are the best so you can make your dog as happy as possible. Here are nine types of the best dog treats.

Antler Chews

Antler chews provide a more desirable taste than common bones. They are both similar in texture. There are two types of antler chews, whole, and split. Go try out petparentsbrand.com to learn more.

Animal Bones

Animal bones may be the most well-known type of treats for dogs. This is because of the stereotype that all dogs love bones. This stereotype is often conveyed in movies, tv, or any other source of entertainment, and it’s not wrong. Dogs enjoy bones because it exercises their jaws while also providing mental stimulation. Some types of bones can be harmful to your dog, so it is important to conduct some research before purchasing dog bones.

Chewy Treats

These treats are available in a plethora of shapes, sizes, and flavors. These treats are most adequate for training because they come in small sizes and taste good. Using small sizes for training is good because they provide instant fulfillment.

Crunchy Treats

Just like chewy treats, crunchy treats come in an assortment of sizes, shapes, and flavors. These treats are also very good for training since they come in small sizes and are tasty. Since they are not as easy to get down as chewy treats, it is important to pick a size of treat that matches the size of your dog. The larger the dog, the larger the threat.

Freeze Dried Jerky

Since freeze-dried jerky is real meat, this is considered one of the best treats for dogs. Dogs love meat, therefore this is a great option. These treats can come in meats, poultry, liver, and seafood.

Dental Chews

These treats are great for dogs as they help dental health. These treats must be chewed a lot before being consumed. If swallowed whole, the treat can cause serious injuries.

Rawhide

Rawhide is treated with various types of chemicals after being shaped out of the animal hide. Rawhide is great for dogs to chew on but is not great for consumption. Rawhide normally comes in a dog bone shape. Some rawhide is specially treated to allow for consumption. If non-consumable rawhide is eaten, it can cause gastrointestinal obstructions.

Pig Ears

Pig ears are just what they sound like—pig ears. They are delicious treats for your dog but very fatty. Pig ears are often loaded with unhealthy chemicals, so if you can find some that are not full of chemicals, your dog will love them.

Human Food Treats

Most human foods are great for dogs, but some can be very dangerous. Foods like cheese, crackers, and chocolate are to be strictly avoided. However, other fresher foods are great for your dog. Foods such as fresh meat and vegetables can be quite beneficial for your dog.

There are numerous good treats for your dog, with all kinds of benefits. All of these treats can be good for your dog, but choosing them depends on your and the dog’s preferences.
