I would SO LOVE to win this shipment of pumpkins so we could carve them with 8 of our 10 grand babies! Then I could cook them down and make my Grandmothers pumpkin bread and pumpkin pies as well as toasted pumpkin seeds. Since my Grandmother passed I have not been able to bring myself to make any of her wonderful recipes. I had it in my mind that I could never do her food justice. She raised me. So she was more than a Grandmother she was my Mama! I miss her! Now I am ready to at least try to make her recipes. In her honer. They most likely will not taste the same as she always said she stuck her thumb in the batter to sweeten them up! Gosh I miss her! Still I will try as I did inherit her recipe boxes and books. They are among my most prized possessions.
