If you do get a chance to visit Nashville, The Grand Ole Opry and the Ryman Auditorium are must stops for any visitor. However, located next door to The Grand Ole Opry and Opry Mills Mall, you’ll find the insanely huge Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center. So large in fact, I can dedicate one post to it! Being one of the largest hotels without a casino, it’s broken up into a few different themes sections, complete with rides, restaurants and shows. I’ve made navigating the resort easy for special diners as below are where to go and what to get so you don’t get lost and die of starvation wondering aimlessly through this hospitality labyrinth!
Start your day off with a peppy beverage at the Cocoa Bean in the Cascades Lobby. They’ve not only got soy as a option for your lovely latte but they also have rice and almond milk! Additionally, I found Hail Merry raw vegan treats in their snack case! Yum!
If you want to unwind with some chips, guac and a frosty margarita, Solario, located in the Garden Conservatory Atrium, is the spot. Serving up classic Mexican fare, veggies rejoice with options like grilled veggie street tacos, veggie enchiladas, fajitas or a veganized salad!
For some “finer” dining, stroll on over to the Cascades Atrium to the Cascades American Cafe. Serving breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner, they even have a gluten free menu! FOr din din, choose the vegetarian plate complete will grilled veggies and delicious seed pesto, yum!
Now if you’re in search of an All-American good time, check out Fuse. A sports bar with tons of drink options as well as veggie and gluten free choices! Veganize any burger with a veggie patty or veganize a salad if you’re going to fill up on booze ; )
Lastly, if you know you will be staying at the hotel, be sure to call ahead and let them know of your dietary restrictions so that the chefs can be prepared to knock your socks off!
