If you haven’t yet visited NYC, then you’re missing out on a whirlwind of a travel experience. It is one of my favorite places to visit every now and again and reconnect with friends that I’ve made there over the years.
Needless to say, New York is a huge place and it can be hard to find a good place to start when there are so many choices. I know, because I’ve been there. I made my fair share of mistakes when touring different places around the world, but in this particular instance, as I toured New York City, I was able to make the best of it by booking an affordable guided tour.
Read on to find out more about the ups and downs of this unforgettable experience.
I Booked A Guided Tour
Now, I know I’ve said this already, but it’s the main piece of the puzzle that made it all work for me. Booking a guided tour has many perks which would be quite lengthy to enumerate. But let’s start with the amount of time you get to save.
I had a long list of places around New York that I wanted to see (like The Empire State Building and certain parts of Central Park, which is visited by more than 25 million people yearly) but I wasn’t entirely sure if I was going to be able to see them because of time and money constraints that you always have with each new place you visit. Luckily I thought ahead and booked a tour, which helped me see all the landmarks that I wanted to see. Not to mention, there were a ton of other pluses to go along with that.
It Saved Me Money On Gas
Because of the guided tour, not only did I get to see everything, but I didn’t have to shell out additional money on gas and Ubers. I was able to designate the route I wanted, get picked up, and enjoy the ride as I made the stops that I wanted to make.
Transportation is the thing that I dislike spending money on the most, mostly because it is often the biggest item in your travel budget. But if you learn to hack it, you’ll be able to save a formidable amount of money that you can either use for other things on your trip or save for your next adventure. It’s really all about being financially savvy.
I Got Off And On Whenever I Wanted To
Did someone say hop on hop off? That’s the beat of the drum I was able to explore to on my NYC visit. With my guided tour, I was able to check out all of the NYC sights that most people don’t get to see in one trip.
I Would Do It Again In A Heartbeat
There is no doubt I would take another NYC trip without thinking twice, especially because of the guided tours. They are just downright life savers when it comes to time, money, and patience.
Traveling Is Great If You Plan Ahead
Planning ahead is one of the key components of making your travels a success. A famous person once said ‘you are planning to fail if you fail to plan,’ and that couldn’t be truer when it comes to traveling, especially because the quality of your planning will dictate how smoothly your trip will go.
