You shouldn’t let 2019 be another year of you trying and failing to get in fine fettle, though. Take this year by the scruff of its neck, and resolve to stay healthy throughout the duration of it. Make sure you stick to your next fitness regime

Chances are, you’ve talked yourself out of sticking with a fitness regime at some point in the past. Excuses like ‘I’m too tired to workout’ and ‘the weather is too bad for me to go out on a run’ have probably plagued you upon occasion. The desire to avoid working hard to get fit is an incredibly easy one to succumb to, so there’s no shame in admitting that you have, in fact, succumbed to it.

You’ll never maintain a healthy lifestyle if you don’t keep up with the task of getting fit, though. In order to stick to the next fitness regime that you embark on, quite simply, resolve not to think about the future too much. By thinking about your future fitness and what your body might look like soon, you will create goals for yourself that aren’t realistic or feasible. Instead, you should stay very much in the present and you should take each workout one at a time. Focus on what you need to do today, not what might happen tomorrow.

Surround yourself with people that will help you, not hinder

When you spend time with people that pull you away from your optimum fitness level, rather than push you towards it, you will make the task of getting and then staying healthy a pretty much impossible task. This means that, if you are, in fact, serious about bettering your health this year, then you have to resolve to surround yourself with people that will help and never hinder you.
