5 Ways to Train Your Brain and Improve Mental Performance

You no doubt have considered training your body to improve your physical state, but you may never have thought about training your brain, but it’s the most important and powerful tool within your body! Therefore, it is important you look after your mental health and brain and use it to its full potential. There are many natural ways to improve your mental performance, and incorporating them into your routine can lead to significant benefits.

Here are five ways in which you can train your brain to improve mental performance:

1. Invest in a brain-training game

One of the best ways of stimulating the brain is by investing in a selection of brain-training games. Instead of watching television while relaxing on the couch, why not challenge yourself to puzzles or math problems to keep you motivated? Such games actually create new brain cells and can enhance your memory, how quickly you can problem-solve and keep your mind active. For sharper minds and quicker reaction time you require Game supplements from LumUltra.

2. Exercise

Exercising is one of the best ways to ensure a healthy mind; it improves cognitive functioning and even lessens the chances of dementia setting in. There are bound to be days when you are mentally exhausted, but short, regular exercise sessions could improve brain capacity and the ability to absorb information.

Balancing and improving posture has also been proven to enhance focus and concentration. If you haven’t got time to take part in an exercise on a daily basis, why not invest in a standing desk balance board? This device allows you to enjoy steady exercise while at your desk, making phone calls or cooking. Offering slight movement to keep you comfortably positioned, a balance board is designed to enhance balance and strength which can positively impact mental state and improve sensory integration. Balance training allows us to become better learners by coordinating the mind and body.

3. Eat correctly

It goes without saying that the food we eat can have major impacts on the brain. Foods such as fish, vegetables, and fruits can help us to perform well mentally – and you may also be pleased to know, that dark chocolate can also give the brain a much-needed boost! When dark chocolate is consumed, the brain releases dopamine, which is a chemical which allows us to learn quickly and more efficiently.

4.  Laughter

It’s a well-known saying that ‘laughter is the best medicine’ and in terms of your mental health, this is true. Endorphins are released which give you more energy, as well as boosting the immune system. In contrast to stress which can damage neurons in the brain and therefore affect memory; the act of laughing, on the other hand, can improve memory and the ability to learn. Cortisol levels rise, as well as the chemical dopamine, both of which can leave you feeling positive and relaxed.

5.  Regular naps

Taking a daytime nap can provide you with just as much brain enhancement as an entire night’s sleep. After you come back from work or have spent too many hours studying, you need to give yourself that chance to unwind and revive yourself before starting again. Naps have been proven to benefit memory and retain information and can also help recover from the feeling of ‘information overload.’

Good recommendations as always. My friends recommend Modafinil they say it’s like Viagra for the brain and they see a good effect after 3-5 days. What do you think about this?
