Creating a Safe Office Environment During COVID-19

office designA lot of businesses have had to adjust to employees working from home this year in light of the pandemic sweeping the globe. It has certainly been challenging, but there have also been some benefits to having employees remotely working, and a lot of companies are now considering sticking to this new way of operating full-time. However, it isn’t always possible for employees to work from home consistently, therefore, preparing to transition back into the office environment slowly is something that a lot of businesses are now starting to think about if they haven’t done so already. To help make sure you’re providing a safe working environment for your employees when they return, follow the tips below.

Limit People

Naturally, limiting the number of people working in the office at any one time is key. You may want to consider only bringing back employees whose daily tasks would benefit from being in an office, rather than working from home. If you think everyone would work better in the office, then work out a shift rotation to limit the amount of people in there per day. You might find that this mix of remote working and being in the office will help with productivity as well as keeping your staff safe.

Invest in Sanitizer

You may have already had sanitizer dispensers positioned around the office, kitchen, or toilets, but if not, you must invest in some ASAP. Keeping your hands clean is a key piece of advice the government and health services have been telling people to do, so making sure your staff have access to antibacterial sanitizer that also kills viruses is essential. You can purchase a wall mounted hand sanitizer dispenser from companies online easily.

Extra Masks

Limiting the number of staff in the office and having them working from desks that are spread out is necessary, but you may want to consider providing masks as an extra precaution. If they’re more than 2 metres away from one another, they will be safe to remove their masks at their desks if they choose to do so, but encourage them to wear a mask if they are going to be close to one another, or when they’re using shared spaces like the kitchen and bathroom facilities. Your staff members should already own a mask, but stocking up on some spares is a good idea.

Clean Regularly

Ensure that everyone is pitching in to keep the office clean and sanitary. Your office building or your company might hire cleaners to provide this service outside of work hours, but now more than ever it’s important for everyone to get into the habit of cleaning up after themselves and using disinfectant at their work stations, the break room, etc. Put up signs to remind them if need be.

Support Your Staff

Finally, make sure you’re checking in with your employees during this time. There may be certain individuals who are worried about returning to the office environment because they’re vulnerable or haven’t been feeling 100%. Do what you can to make sure everyone is comfortable about returning to work, and to help them feel supported during this difficult period.

Another way to support your staff is by getting corporate PCR COVID-19 testing in New Jersey with a service such as Drip Hydration. You can help prevent outbreaks in your office and save your employees the time and hassle of getting tested at a traditional testing center. With ongoing tests, you can give your staff the peace of mind that they are working in a safe and healthy workplace.

If you’re planning on slowly reintroducing staff into the office environment in the coming months, make sure you’re following the tips above to make it safe for everybody. Additionally, Wellue can tell you the relationship between pulse oximeter and COVID19.

Someone switched to remote work during the quarantine, and someone stayed in the office. One way or another, joint teamwork will always give much greater efficiency, the main thing is to properly dispose of the space. Tools like this https://www.mapiq.com/page/smart-office-technology-for-covid-19 are the perfect helper in this situation
