In the modern day and age, with everyone working on their own schedules, and having the freedom to live their own lives, it can be hard to get all of your friends together. Some may be far away, some may have no time at all, and some may not have the money to get out and about with the rest of you. All in all, having a group meetup can be super hard, and it can really get you down about how lonely you’re feeling.
So, it’s time to make some little changes. It’s time to make it easier for you and your friends to get together – make sure you keep the points in mind below when you’re next trying to arrange something!
Get Them on the Phone
If your loved ones are scattered around the globe, make sure you reach out on terms they can come to: use the phone! Everyone has one, and everyone knows how to use one, and that’s why it’s one of the best ways to get in touch with your group, even all at once. Skype calls, zoom meetups, discord chats, etc., all have a group function, and there’s a lot less effort involved than trying to coordinate something in person.
However, try not to be overzealous with these functions. You could look up a chat lines list if you want to talk to someone as soon as possible, but it’s important to note that not everyone will be available for a chat when you need one. It’s crucial to acknowledge that as a normal part of life, and not let it make you feel any worse.
Schedule a Weekly Meetup
If you have a group of friends nearby, why not schedule a meetup once a week? It’s an easy way to keep in touch in person, and it ensures you’re not asking too much of your loved ones. If they’re busy through the week and don’t answer most of your messages, a weekly in person get together will definitely help to keep your communication going, and ensure you have the space and time to update each other on your lives. Make it happen at a nearby cafe, or the local park, which’ll help make it easier to travel too.
Join a Club Together
You need to see someone on a regular basis to really strike up a friendship with them, and it takes about 200 hours to make a friend when you’re an adult. And that’s why joining a club, to ensure you’re getting out with the same people on a weekly (or even bi weekly) basis, is one of the best ways to make a connection and keep up with it. And there are plenty of clubs out there, so just keep looking for one you’re all interested in, and make sure you’re a regular attendance.
You and your friends need to get together soon; how do you make it easy for them? Keep these tips in mind!
