vegan weddingA wedding is a special day in the life of a woman – a day you have probably dreamed of for as long as you can remember. But along with all of the important details like the venue, the food and flowers, take some time out to take care of yourself. Below are a few tips that can help you be your glowing best on your wedding day.

The Thick and Thin of It

Without beating around the bush, there is one area most brides worry about and that is weight. You can be beautiful at any size and there is no one size that works for every woman, but if it is something that bothers you, there are ways to help yourself accomplish some loss. Exercise at any weight can help tone your body, cleansing diets can help clear your digestive system and skin, or things like the HCG diet can be helpful for fast weight loss.

Beautify Your Skin

Along with clarifying your skin from the inside out by drinking a lot of water and eating fresh food, there are some things you can do topically. Use as natural a treatment as possible; such as cucumber slices to remove under eye bags, pure witch hazel to remove redness and puffiness and clay masks to treat impurities and blemishes.

Grooming

Get your eyebrows threaded or plucked a couple of days ahead and use ice or witch hazel to take down the puffiness and redness. Have your face waxed or have laser hair removal to get rid of any traces of hair or peach fuzz so that your makeup goes on flawlessly. If you are going to use a new makeup product, do so ahead so that you know you do not have an allergic reaction to it.

Fix Your Hair

If your hair needs a cut or trim, do it a couple of weeks before so it has time to grow out enough to look natural. Try out your hairstyle a couple of weeks ahead so that you are sure you like it and that it flatters you. Keep it simple and glamorous so it contributes to your overall look, rather than taking away from it. Use enough product that it can hold through the day and plan a few minutes at some point to get a quick touchup.

Nails

When it comes to nails, your toes are just as important as your fingers. Have a manicure and pedicure a couple of days before. Trim nails to a reasonable Get a warm wax treatment on both to exfoliate and soften skin and cuticles. Keep nail color natural and light, and avoid wearing other surgery so that your ring can be the star of the show. If you plan to wear open-toed shoes, that is a good place to add an understated color.

Avoid thinking that you are being selfish – you are taking care of yourself. Indulge yourself a bit as your wedding day comes nearer. You should feel as beautiful as you do happy – on your wedding day, you are the star of the show, after all.
